  • Patent number: 5429320
Abstract: A device is provided for continuously winding webs of fabric wherein one end of each of two winding shafts is connected permanently and force-lockingly to a respective rotary drive. The drive is connected permanently and force-lockingly to the elements of an automatic guide, which is attached to a single turning disk or plate which is held by the device on the drive side of the device. The shafts can be swivelled around a central axis of rotation of the turning disk or plate in order to move with respect to the central axis of rotation. The shafts can also move head-on constantly parallel to the central axis of rotation. The other end of each winding shaft represents an essentially free end which is held only for specified path distances by the guide elements.

  • Patent number: 5251836
Abstract: A winding machine has its winding cores entrained in a swing circle on a turret from and to a winding location at which a pair of oppositely driven rollers can cooperate with the core to wrap a web on the latter selectively in opposite senses. A swing arm or pair of swing arms engages the web from opposite sides to sever the web and wrap the free end of the severed web onto the core in the respective sense.

  • Patent number: 5176334
Abstract: A device for maintaining a freely selectable speed-independent tension in a continuously advanced flexible element, has a double-arm rocker and respective deflecting rollers uniformly disposed on arms of the rocker with said element passing around the rollers in opposite senses. The rocker is mounted to enable pivoting about a pivot axis between the rollers and at least one counterforce member is operatively connected to the rocker to counter pivotal movement of the rocker about this axis and establishing a tension in the element which is a function of a pivotal displacement of the rocker.

  • Patent number: 4160529
Abstract: The roller winding machine for the formation of individual reels from longitudinally cut material bands comprises a sickle-shaped supporting and cutting table which is capable of being pivoted between a carrying roll and the material band if the material band is to be cut crosswise. The cutting of the material band is carried out in a precisely defined position upon the supporting and cutting table. One or more adhesive-label issue devices also cooperate with the supporting and cutting table. By means of the adhesive labels, the beginning of the band is fastened to the empty reel sleeve, and the band end is fastened to the full reel, respectively.
