Abstract: Process for dyeing textile material with pigment dyes, which comprises1. pretreating the textile material with a polymer which consists wholly or partly of monomeric units of the formula I ##STR1## where R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are each hydrogen, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.22)alkyl which may be interrupted by --CO--NH-- or --NH--CO--, or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -hydroxyalkyl,R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are each hydrogen or methyl, and Y.sup.- is a monovalent anion or one equivalent of a polyvalent anion,2. then dyeing with a pigment dye in the presence of a leveling or dispersing agent by the exhaust method and if necessary3. treating the dyeing in a liquor with a pigment binder and subsequently fixing it.This process makes it possible to dye textile material, in particular ready-made jeans garments, with pigment dyes by an exhaust method.

Abstract: A process for the alkali-free dyeing and printing of cellulose fibers by means of reactive dyes, direct dyes, acid dyes, water-soluble sulfur dyes or sulfur vat dyes, which comprises pretreating the textile material to be dyed with a wetting agent and a reaction product of an epihalogenohydrin with ammonia or an amine of the formula ##STR1## in which A is hydrogen, alkyl having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, hydroxyalkyl having 1 to 5 carbon atoms,R is alkyl having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, hydroxyalkyl having 1 to 5 carbon atoms,a group of the formula ##STR2## (n=0 to 5), a group of the formula ##STR3## (X=oxygen or sulfur) (n=0 to 5), or R and A together are ##STR4## subsequently dyeing them by conventional methods, but without alkali, by means of the dyes mentioned, and completing the dyeing by rinsing, soaping and drying.

Abstract: The wet-fastness properties of cellulose materials dyed with sulfur dyestuffs is improved by treating the cellulose materials, before, during or after dyeing, with a polymer which is a copolymer or homopolymer of a monomer of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 denote, for example, hydrogen or (C.sub.1 -C.sub.22)-alkyl; R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 denote hydrogen or methyl; and Y.sup..crclbar. denotes, for example, a monovalent anion.

Abstract: Process for alkali-free dyeing and printing with reactive dyes. Beforehand, the textile material is treated with a wetting agent and a reaction product of polyethyleneimine and a bifunctional alkylating agent. This is followed by dyeing with reactive dyes in a conventional manner but without the addition of alkali to fix the dyes.

Abstract: A textile auxiliary for improving the fastness of materials dyed or printed with a dyestuff is a copolymer of a diallylammonium monomer, a vinyl amide monomer and a (meth)acrylic ester monomer.

Abstract: Improvements in the fastness properties of substrates dyed with reactive dyestuffs are achieved by a dyeing after-treatment with an agent which is the reaction product polyethyleneimine and a bifunctional alkylating agent.

Abstract: A padding auxiliary is used in a dyeing process using a padding liquor wherein the padding auxiliary is an aqueous solution or dispersion containing(a) 20 to 50 percent by weight of a mixture of 50 to 100 percent by weight of a compound of the following formula ##STR1## and 50 to 0 percent by weight of a compound of the following formula ##STR2## (b) b percent by weight of a compound of the formula ##STR3## and (c) c percent by weight of a compound of the formula ##STR4## wherein b is a number from 0 to 5, c is a number from 0 to 5 and the numbers for b and c are chosen such that the sum of the numbers for b and c is a number from 1 to 10;R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are independently an aliphatic moiety with 5 to 12 carbon atoms or an araliphatic moiety with 7 to 13 carbon atoms;X.sym., Y.sym. and Z.sym. is each independently an alkali metal cation, ammonium cation or a cation of an alkylamine or hydroxyalkylamine wherein the alkyl has 1-12 carbon atoms;R.sup.
