  • Publication number: 20090000502
Abstract: A method and device for blanket wash-up in the case of a printing couple of a rotary printing press, is disclosed. In order to wash up blankets, blanket plates or blanket sleeves on blanket printing cylinders in a time-saving and cost-effective manner by a blanket wash-up device, during delivery wash-up with paper, a separation of the paper web speed from the circumferential speed of the blanket printing cylinder is realized. As a result, it is possible to realize a high rotational speed of the blanket printing cylinder and therefore a high relative speed at the wash-up location with high water usage while only small amounts of paper are used.

  • Patent number: 7455577
Abstract: The invention relates to a retention device comprising a support bracket that can be moved along a filling tube, for accommodating a brake ring clasped around the filling tube to exercise a frictional force on a tubular casing to be pulled off the filling tube during filling, and further comprising a drive coupled to the support bracket for moving the support bracket back and forth parallel to the filling tube. The drive comprises a crank transmission with a crank that is connected on the driven side to the support bracket.

  • Patent number: 7392642
Abstract: The invention pertains to a device for the packaging of free-flowing fill materials in a tube-shaped casing with a feeder tube to conduct the flow of fill materials. The feeder tube features a hookup, a mouth, a basically straight first segment adjoining the hookup, with a first longitudinal axis, and a second segment that is conjoined with the first segment and proximate to the mouth. The first segment is designed to accept and conduct a casing on its outer surface. The casing infeed consists of a plastic filmstrip, which is formed into a tube around the first feeder tube segment. The second segment is designed to further conduct the plastic filmstrip-derived, newly formed casing. Alternatively, a supply of casing and/or net material may be loaded onto the second segment from its mouth. Upstream and ahead of the first segment, the feeder tube features a feeder tube swivel bearing (140) around the first longitudinal axis.

  • Patent number: 7331155
Abstract: A clip feed arrangement including a magazine bar for guiding a line of clips from a clip supply to a separating device of a closure apparatus, and a clip drive arranged in the region of the magazine bar. The clip drive has two drive elements which can be successively brought into engagement with the line of clips and which separately produce the advance.

  • Patent number: 6936111
Abstract: During a washing cycle of a rubber blanket on a blanket cylinder some revolutions of the blanket cylinder are initially performed during which the cleaning element is lifted off the blanket cylinder temporarily when the clamping channel passes under the cleaning element.

  • Patent number: 6871474
Abstract: A device for partitioning portion packages from a filled casing string by constricting it and applying at least one closing clip onto the casing string, which consists of two sets of displacement elements and a clipping apparatus consisting of two interacting elements that can move between the displacement element sets in mutually opposite directions, wherein the displacement elements and the elements of the closing apparatus are connected via rotating joints to the cranks driven in the same direction and are guided via a joint guiding element, which is seated in a swiveling manner about the (virtual) casing axis on a carrier holding also the cranks.

  • Patent number: 6846235
Abstract: A device for closing tubular containers of flexible material, such as sausage casings or the like, contains plate-shaped constricting components for the purpose of forming constrictions in the container and a power-driven device for fastening a closure clip around the constrictions. The closure clip is advanced and pressed against a closing matrix by a punch. The power source for driving the punch and closing the closure clip is fastened to one of the constricting components and can swivel with it, whereby the punch of the device is guided on this constricting component across its entire advance path.

  • Patent number: 6705063
Abstract: This invention concerns a segmenting device in particular for the manufacture (portioning) of sausages from a string of sausage filling in a flexible tubular casing, which consists of a plurality of tye elements (12) in the form of strips which can be rotated against each other. One of their ends is secured locally in a ring concentric to the axis of the casing at regular intervals, and whereas the other end region is collected to form a ring (11) concentric with the axis of the casing, which, relative to this, can undergo movement of a rotational nature as well as parallel movement in their major plane, at least tee tying elements are provided, whose contact surface segments, which face the opening, are bent or curved in the main plane. In this manner each strip impinges on the casing with several contact surface segments and promotes the radial tying of the casing, avoiding shearing movements between the casing and the strips.

  • Patent number: 6691389
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for closing for example the ends of a sausage that have been gathered to a tress, especially by means of a metal closing clip. The inventive closing device comprises a matrix (3) and a tap device (4) that can be displaced from a rest position in which they are located outside the space occupied by the sausage (30), towards each other into an operative position at the tress (32). A magazine (23) is provided in the path of displacement of the tappet (13) and can be filled with closing clips that are continuously fed. Said stationary magazine (23) interferes with the advance path of the tappet (13) close to the delivery opening of the tappet device (4) only when said tappet device (4) is in the rest position, thereby requiring only a short travel of the pneumatic cylinder. The clip magazine does not have to travel to the operative position of the tappet device.
