  • Publication number: 20150325940
Abstract: A protecting connector cover with an attaching means adapted for attaching the protecting connector cover movably to a connector means capable of making an electric connection with an electronic device and having a device for securing or locking the connection with a first operating means for unsecuring or unlocking the connection. The protecting connector cover is movable between a first position and a securable, predetermined second position, comprises at least part of a cover securing means being adapted to secure the protecting connector cover to the connector means in the predetermined second position, and is adapted to uncover and allow access to the first operating means when in the first position and to cover and block access to the first operating means when secured by the cover securing means in the predetermined locked position.

  • Publication number: 20050174238
Abstract: The invention relates to a theft protection plug which is mounted externally on electrical devices having a corresponding receptacle, and which, in addition to being capable of functioning as a connector plug, has a theft protection function, where the alarm electronics are encapsulated in the rear part of the theft protection plug. According to the invention, an anti-theft alarm is incorporated into a plug of any type—which thus protects the piece of equipment to which the theft protection plug is connected against theft or unauthorized removal, and can provide control over the location of different types of equipment in a chosen area. The degree of theft protection is higher if the plug is held in place in its respective receptacle by a locking mechanism.

  • Patent number: 6462668
Abstract: An anti-theft alarm cable, wherein the circuit between a sound generator (1) and a battery (2) is made when an attempt is made to remove a power cable from its permanent location between an electrical appliance and the main supply, characterized in that the sound generator (1) and battery (2) are encapsulated in the rear part of the connector. There is a diaphragm and sound holes in the connector which let sound from the sound unit pass out of the connector. There is a locking device in the front pan of the connector wherein a metal piece presses out of the connector and into the wall of the input terminal to ensure that the connector remains in the input terminal. A transformer can be built into the plug and conduct DC to PCB 2 through two extra conductors in the power cable.

  • Patent number: 6337633
Abstract: Alarm cable II, wherein a siren is triggered when there is a loss of mains voltage, characterized in that a switch function (SW) in the connector (3) also registers that the alarm is not disconnected from the appliance that is to be secured. In the connector (3) there is also a fastening device (14, 15) which is connected to a circuit (8) which registers whether the fastener is released, and then triggers the alarm. In the plug (2) to the mains supply there is a microswitch (SW) which makes it possible to distinguish between attempted theft and regular power failure. A varistor and a gas discharger connected in parallel relation across the mains phase protect against lightning or surge voltage. There may be input terminals for telephone lines which allow pager or mobile phone signalling.
