  • Patent number: 5911936
Abstract: A process for producing a radiator support, disposed between a radiator and a vehicle-side installation member, includes the steps of molding a rubber-elastic member, disposing the resulting rubber-elastic member in a mold, and completing a radiator support by injecting a resinous material into the mold. In the rubber-elastic member molding step, a rubber-elastic member is molded to include a rubber flange which has a top surface and a bottom surface. In the radiator support completing step, a rigid inner tube member and a rigid outer tube member are molded integrally with the rubber-elastic member, wherein the rigid outer tube member is molded so as to include a flange which has a top surface superimposed on the bottom surface of the rubber flange of the rubber-elastic member, a bottom surface, and a cut-off. The cut-off downwardly exposes a portion of the bottom surface of the rubber flange of the rubber elastic-member in a completed radiator support.

  • Patent number: 5758860
Abstract: A radiator support includes a rigid inner tube member, a rigid outer tube member, and a rubber elastic member. The rigid inner tube member has a radial through concavity formed through the inner peripheral portion in the radial direction, or the rigid outer tube member has a radial through concavity formed through the outer peripheral portion in the radial direction. The rubber-elastic member has a convexity formed at least on one of the inner peripheral portion and the outer peripheral portion. The convexity extends inward or outward, and fits into the radial through concavity of the rigid inner tube member to inwardly project from the inner peripheral portion thereof, or into the radial through concavity of the rigid outer tube member to outwardly project from the outer peripheral portion thereof.

  • Patent number: 5284900
Abstract: The present invention yields a coating film excellent in adhesion, water resistance, solvent resistance and durability. A compound having a carboxyl group and a long-chain alkylthio group or a salt thereof is used as an emulsifier and emulsion polymerization is carried out using a polymerizable monomer or monomers having, within their molecule, a group reactive with a carboxyl group as raw materials for emulsion polymerization, whereby the resin produced by emulsion polymerization and the emulsifier react with each other efficiently on the occasion of film formation and form a crosslinked structure. When a compound having a polymerizable unsaturated group in addition to the carboxyl group and long-chain alkylthio group or a salt thereof is used as the emulsifier, not only the above-mentioned crosslinked structure is formed but also the polymerizable unsaturated group in the emulsifier will react with the unsaturated group in the polymerizable monomer or monomers in the manner of grafting.

  • Patent number: 5242336
Abstract: There is disclosed a planet gear apparatus having a gear structure wherein a sun gear attached to an input shaft is a conical involute external gear, one of two adjacent ring gears differing slightly in inside diameter and number of teeth is a stationary ring gear fixed to the planet gear apparatus, the other of the two ring gears is a rotary ring gear rotating about an rotational axis of the input shaft, and a plurality of planetary gears are cylindrical involute spur gears. A rotational axis of each planetary gear is inclined at an angle to the rotational axis of the input shaft, and each planetary gear is meshed between the sun gear, on the one hand, and the two ring gears, on the other, while rotating about its own axis and revolving around the sun gear.

As a result, the compatibility between the emulsifier and the emulsion-polymerized resin is improved.

  • Patent number: 4483288
Abstract: A split engine comprising a plurality of cylinders divided into a first cylinder group and a second cylinder group. The second cylinder group is connected to the outside air via a second surge tank. The first cylinder group is connected to the second surge tank via a first surge tank. A shut-off valve is arranged in the connecting portion of the first surge tank and the second surge tank. When the level of the load of the engine becomes higher than a predetermined level, the shut-off valve is slowly opened by a DC motor.

  • Patent number: 4467758
Abstract: A split engine comprising a plurality of cylinders divided into a first cylinder group and a second cylinder group. The second cylinder group is connected to the outside air via a second surge tank. A throttle valve is arranged in the inlet of the second surge tank. The first cylinder group is connected to the second surge tank. A shut-off valve is arranged in the connecting portion of the first surge tank and the second surge tank. The first surge tank is connected to the exhaust manifold of the engine via an exhaust-gas recirculation passage. The recirculation control valve is arranged in the exhaust-gas recirculation passage. When the level of the load of the engine becomes higher than a predetermined level, the shut-off valve opens, and the recirculation control valve closes. At this time, if the opening speed of the throttle valve is lower than a predetermined speed, the opening operation of the shut-off valve is started when the closing operation of the recirculation control valve is completed.

  • Patent number: 4466404
Abstract: A split engine comprising a plurality of cylinders which are divided into a first cylinder group and a second cylinder group. The second cylinder group is connected to the outside air via a second intake passage. The first cylinder group is connected to a first intake passage which is, in turn, connected to the second intake passage via a shut-off valve. The first intake passage is connected to the exhaust passage of the engine via an exhaust-gas recirculation passage. When the level of the load of the engine becomes high, the exhaust-gas recirculation passage is shut off, and the shut-off valve is initially opened at a high speed and then opened at a low speed.
