Patent number: 9812776Abstract: An antenna device vertically rotatable and horizontally rotatable is provided, which has a configuration in which waveguides are effectively disposed. An antenna device includes an antenna, a vertically rotating, and a rotary joint. The antenna is vertically rotatable and horizontally rotatable, and outwardly radiates a radio wave. The vertically rotating is disposed such that a longitudinal direction thereof is along an axial line of the vertical rotation and intersects perpendicularly with an axial line of the horizontal rotation. The rotary joint is coupled to the vertically rotating. Moreover, the antenna device includes a waveguide path passing through the inside of the rotary and the inside of the vertically rotating and connected with the antenna.Type: GrantFiled: April 1, 2013Date of Patent: November 7, 2017Assignee: Furuno Electric Co., Ltd.Inventors: Kohji Yano, Mitsuhiko Hataya

Patent number: 9728859Abstract: A slot array antenna where slots are arrayed in two directions is provided for suppressing occurrence of side lobes. An antenna includes a radiation waveguide part and stubs. The radiation waveguide part has two sheets of metal plates facing each other and outwardly radiates a radio wave from a plurality of slots formed in one of the metal plates. Each stub is arranged for every slot to extend inward of the radiation waveguide part from the face where the slots are formed, and changes a transmission mode of the radio wave within the radiation waveguide part. The slots are narrow and arranged at fixed intervals in both a longitudinal direction and a lateral direction of the slots. The stub is disposed for every slot, on either side of the slot in the lateral direction. Between the adjacent slots, the stubs are disposed on the opposite sides in the lateral direction.Type: GrantFiled: April 1, 2013Date of Patent: August 8, 2017Assignee: Furuno Electric Co., Ltd.Inventor: Kohji Yano

Patent number: 9472856Abstract: A compact antenna that includes a power feeding waveguide, a sub reflection mirror, and a main reflection mirror. Radio waves comprised of a vertical polarized wave and a horizontal polarized wave are transmitted to the power feeding waveguide. The sub reflection mirror is disposed to face an opening of the power feeding waveguide and reflects the radio wave radiated from the opening. The main reflection mirror is disposed to face the sub reflection mirror and outwardly radiates the radio wave reflected by the sub reflection mirror. A front surface of the main reflection mirror has a shape formed by rotating a line reaching one side and the other side of a predetermined parabola curve at least once, around a rotational axis. A front surface of the sub reflection mirror has a shape formed by rotating either one of a stepped line and a wavy line around the rotational axis.Type: GrantFiled: April 1, 2013Date of Patent: October 18, 2016Assignee: Furuno Electric Co., Ltd.Inventor: Kohji Yano

Publication number: 20150029055Abstract: A slot array antenna where slots are arrayed in two directions is provided for suppressing occurrence of side lobes. An antenna includes a radiation waveguide part and probes. The radiation waveguide part has two sheets of metal plates facing each other and outwardly radiates a radio wave from a plurality of slots formed in one of the metal plates. Each probe is arranged for every slot to extend inward of the radiation waveguide part from the face where the slots are formed, and changes a transmission mode of the radio wave within the radiation waveguide part. The slots are narrow and arranged at fixed intervals in both a longitudinal direction and a lateral direction of the slots. The probe is disposed for every slot, on either side of the slot in the lateral direction. Between the adjacent slots, the probes are disposed on the opposite sides in the lateral direction.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 1, 2013Publication date: January 29, 2015Inventor: Kohji Yano

Patent number: 8032774Abstract: When an operation mode of an image forming apparatus returns from an energy-saving mode to a regular operation mode, a CPU of a main system outputs a power control signal set to High, and determines the necessariness of information display on an LCD of an operation unit control system to output a starting mode selection signal set to High when the result of the determination is positive. A CPU of the operation unit control system detects the state of a power control signal, and detects mode return from the energy-saving mode depending on the result of the above detection. The CPU of the operation unit control system also detects the state of a starting mode selection signal, and determines the necessariness of information display on the LCD depending on the result of the detection to carry out a display process depending on the result of the determination.Type: GrantFiled: March 12, 2008Date of Patent: October 4, 2011Assignee: Ricoh Company, Ltd.Inventors: Kohji Yano, Eiji Enami, Naoki Sato, Yujin Mori, Noriyuki Satoh

Patent number: 4379615Abstract: A device for transmitting signals or energy between a reel wound multi-core or multi-conductor cable and a stationary terminal unit without the use of a sliding connector. Dummy bobbins are provided coaxially with and rotatable with the winding reel with individual strands or conductors extending onto the winding surface thereof and wound thereupon. As the main cable is played out, the individual strands or wires are unwound from the dummy bobbins and then taken up by storage devices. In one embodiment, the storage devices are a second set of bobbins while in another embodiment the storage devices are constituted by stationary bundle receiving devices with pinch rollers provided for urging the individual strands or wires into the bundle receiving devices.Type: GrantFiled: August 8, 1980Date of Patent: April 12, 1983Assignee: Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd.Inventors: Yuichi Toda, Kohji Yano, Katsuji Sakamoto
