  • Patent number: 10627661
Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes a cover member having a curved-surface shape and having a curved display surface, a liquid crystal panel having a GIP structure and disposed on a rear side of the cover member, and an adhesive layer interposed between the cover member and the liquid crystal panel. The liquid crystal panel includes a display area, and an IC mounting area adjacent to the display area. A gate drive circuit is mounted in the IC mounting area. The display area includes a first end adjacent to the IC mounting area, and a second end opposite the first end. In a curve in a direction from the first end to the second end, a first curvature at the first end is less than a second curvature at the second end.

  • Publication number: 20050073254
Abstract: A projecting electrode of each of row electrodes constituting a row electrode pair faces a discharge cell and has a resistance value between 0.05 to 1.0 times inductance of a discharge space during discharge peak current occurring in the discharge cell by discharge that is produced between the row electrodes of the row electrode pair.

  • Patent number: 6670755
Abstract: A plasma display panel comprises a front substrate plate; a back substrate plate arranged opposite to the front substrate plate with an electric discharge space formed therebetween; a plurality of partition walls dividing the discharge space into a plurality of discharge cells; and a plurality of fluorescent layers each covering the bottom and side surfaces of each discharge cell. In particular, each of the partition walls has a T-shaped cross section.

  • Patent number: 6614183
Abstract: A plasma display panel includes a plurality of row electrode pairs (X, Y) forming display lines which are formed on a front glass substrate (10). Each row electrode (X, Y) of the row electrode pair (X, Y) makes up transparent electrodes (Xa, Ya) each formed opposing the corresponding transparent electrode (Xa, Ya) via a discharge gap (g) for each pair, and a bus electrode (Xb, Yb) connected to the transparent electrodes (Xa, Ya). In such plasma display panel, a light-shield layer 20A is formed at least on a portion between the two bus electrodes situated back to back and a required portion in proximal to sides of the bus electrodes (Xb, Yb) connected to the transparent electrodes (Xa, Ya) on the front glass substrate (10).
