  • Patent number: 5982215
Abstract: An analog signal transmission circuit includes a transformer, an amplifier for driving the transformer, first and second polar capacitors connected in series between the amplifier and the transformer such that those terminals of the first and second polar capacitors which have the same polarity are connected to each other, and an element, connected to the terminals of the first and second polar capacitors, for applying a DC bias in accordance with the polarity of the terminals of the first and second polar capacitors.

  • Patent number: 5848133
Abstract: A sound codec has an encoded signal input/output terminal. This terminal is selectively connected to a modem codec. Due to this selective connection, a microphone and a speaker, both connected to a sound signal input/output terminal of the sound codec, are used as a transceiver of the speaker phone, and the sound codec is controlled to function as a speaker phone codec.

  • Patent number: 5316491
Abstract: A personal computer includes a box-shaped body having a card storing section for storing a memory card. An operating opening portion is formed by cutting an edge of the body to a given size and externally accessible by a finger, and the storing section communicates with the opening portion through an inlet opening. An ejector mechanism for ejecting the card from the card storing section includes a card receiver arranged in the storing section for receiving the card inserted through the inlet opening. A drawer member is mounted on the card receiver and has an operating end portion. The operating end portion is located within the operating opening portion when the drawer member is moved to its pushed-in position while the card receiver is in its first position and outwardly projects through the operating opening portion when the drawer member is moved to its drawn-out position while the card receiver is in its first position.

  • Patent number: 4881069
Abstract: The font compression method according to the present invention comprises the steps of (a) dividing a first type font matrix to be compressed into a plurality of sections consisting of an equal number of bits in the direction of the columns and/or rows of the matrix; (b) comparing information bits in the bit positions in each divided section and in the first bit position in the adjacent next section in accordance with a predetermined rule; (c) determining information bits to be dropped in accordance with the result of the comparison, extracting the remaining information bits in each section other than the dropped information bits successively, and classifying the information bits thus extracted into predetermined bit patterns; and (d) repeating the operation of the steps (b) and (c) until the processing of the last column and /or the last row terminates. By the font compression method according to the present invention, a font of characters and figures arranged in a 24.times.
