  • Patent number: 11410470
Abstract: Provided is a charging system including: an axle load meter disposed on a lane and configured to measure an axle load of each of a plurality of axles of a vehicle traveling on the axle load meter; an acceleration information acquisition unit configured to acquire, from the vehicle, vertical-direction acceleration information associated with each of the axles; a correction calculation unit configured to calculate a corrected axle load for each of the axles by correcting, based on the vertical-direction acceleration information, a measurement result for each of the axles obtained by the axle load meter; and a toll determination unit configured to determine a toll for the vehicle based on the corrected axle load for each of the axles.

  • Patent number: 5048662
Abstract: A coin discriminator discriminates a genuine coin from a counterfeit on the basis of a real component and an imaginary component of an impedance of the coin produced from a high frequency alternating current bridge circuit and decides an amount of the coin when the coin is genuine. An automatic balancing circuit having a sufficiently long time constant is employed to detect variations in the real component and the imaginary component of the impedance due to insertion of the coin. Whether the coin is genuine or counterfeit is discriminated on the basis of peak values of both variations and when the coin is genuine, an amount of the coin is decided.

  • Patent number: 5026972
Abstract: An improved automatic toll receiving apparatus of the throwing-in type installed so as to allow a driver sitting in an automotive vehicle to pay a specified rate of toll, which apparatus includes a large hopper into which the driver can easily throw coins, a determining mechanism for determining whether the received coins are true coins or false coins and discriminating the kind of coins, a counting unit for counting a value of the coins which are determined as true coins, a returning unit for returning to the driver the coins which are determined as false coins, a temporary coin holder for temporarily holding the coins at shortest for a period of time until a processing for the preceding vehicle is completed, so as to allow him to visually confirm the coins through a transparent side wall of the temporary coin holder by the driver while they are arranged side by side, and an actuator for rotating the partition of the temporary coil holder at the bottom thereof 45 degrees as to enable a processing for the nex

  • Patent number: 4955532
Abstract: An automatic toll collector for a toll road includes a cashbox receiving a toll thrown into a toll receiving inlet. Trigger holes, address holes and identification number holes are disposed on the bottom surface of the cashbox in a predetermined pattern in an insertion direction of the cashbox and are detected by proximity sensors disposed in the direction perpendicular to the insertion direction of the cashbox to recognize the identification number of the cashbox. Since the identification number is recognized by the correspondence between data of the address holes and data of the identification number, the identification number can be recognized exactly even if the cashbox is retried to be inserted several times.
