  • Patent number: 9117396
Abstract: When the video images to be played back are three-dimensional (3D) images each including a first parallax image and a second parallax image obtained when an object in a 3D space is viewed from different viewpoints, a video attribute determining unit determines whether or not the frame rate of the images is within a predetermined frame rate range at which a flicker is likely to occur. When the frame rate of the 3D images is within the predetermined frame rate range, a frame rate converter raises the frame rate of the 3D images until the frame rate exceeds the predetermined frame rate range.

  • Publication number: 20100277567
Abstract: A disc player transmits left-eye image data and right-eye image data for displaying a stereoscopic image to a TV set through an HDMI cable. If image timing of left-eye image data and right-eye image data reproduced in the disc player and display timing of a left-eye image and a right-eye image displayed in the TV set are different, the disc player or the TV set corrects the timing of the left-eye image data and the right-eye image data so as to coincide with the display timing of the left-eye image and the right-eye image. The disc player uses display timing information acquired from the TV set. The TV set uses image timing information acquired from the disc player.
