  • Patent number: 5447028
Abstract: An axle driving apparatus which is so constructed that an input pulley for engine power is set lower in mounting position with respect to the axis of a driving axle so as to enable the platform of a vehicle to be lowered. The engine position lowers to promote miniaturization, a lower center of gravity and running stability of the vehicle. For maintenance of the transmission for driving the axle, the entire axle driving apparatus need not be removed from the frame of the vehicle. A bearing for supporting the axle to the casing is held with exact dimensional precision so as not to cause a backlash on the axle, to thereby prolong the life span of the bearing. The axle is ensured to be sealed, the number of mounting bolts for the casing need not be increased in order to improve rigidity, and the casing is strong so that the assembly time for the axle driving apparatus is minimized.

  • Patent number: 4882940
Abstract: The present invention provides a simple and compact power transmission mechanism for a tractor or similar vehicle having mounted thereto a mechanical attachment such as a lawn mower. The power transmission mechanism includes an engine which transmits driving power to ground engaging wheels through a driving power transmission unit and to the mechanical attachment through a driving speed changing unit positioned atop the transmission unit and operatively interconnected to the drive shaft thereof. The driving speed changing unit includes an input shaft which receives engine driving power for driving the drive shaft through a differential gear unit. Engine power is transmitted to the attachment through a belt from a power take-off unit coupled to the input shaft.

  • Patent number: 4856368
Abstract: An axle driving apparatus for a small-sized vehicle, such as a tractor, which divides its axle casing into first and second axle casings. A hydraulic pump, provided with a vertical pump shaft, is disposed within one of the axle casings. A hydraulic motor, provided with a horizontal motor shaft; a speed reduction shaft; and a differential gear unit, are disposed within the other of said axle casings. This configuration allows a driving force to be transmitted from the vertical pump shaft to the horizontal motor shaft.

  • Patent number: 4643442
Abstract: In a working vehicle having hydraulic lift cylinder (39) on the top of rear end of the vehicle and seat (34) above the cylinder case (33) of such cylinder, fluid supply system is provided which supplies fluid from a single pump (47) to both of the lift cylinder and fluid-operated working implements. This system comprises first and second valve assemblies (49, 50), connected in series and mounted on the cylinder case (33), for controlling operation of the lift cylinder and working implements, respectively. The second valve assembly (50) is particularly disposed, for an easy mounting and piping, horizontally along a lateral direction within large open space before the cylinder head (81) of cylinder case (33) and below the seat (34) by mounting same to the front of head (81). For this, stop valve (52) for lift cylinder (39) is disposed within the head (81) so as to be displayed laterally and a vertical seating surface (96) is formed to the front of head (81).

  • Patent number: 4613024
Abstract: A transmission shaft (62) mounting thereon fluid-operated clutch means (68) which discontinues selectively the input of power to such shaft is enclosed at one end portion thereof by a hollow cylinder (86) projected inwardly from an inner wall surface of transmission case (28) for power transmission. An annular groove (89) formed to said one end portion of shaft (62) at the outer peripheral surface thereof and communicated to the clutch means (68) via fluid path (85) in the shaft (62) is sealed by the hollow cylinder (86) so as to form an annular fluid chamber (90) which constitutes a rotary joint portion of fluid conduit line for the clutch means (68). Braking mechanism of a brake (69) associated with the clutch means (69) for braking the shaft (62) in the non-operated state of clutch is arranged within the hollow cylinder (86) by employing such cylinder as brake case.

  • Patent number: 4579183
Abstract: Transmission for working vehicles having forcedly driven rear wheels (2) as well as rear-PTO shaft (17) and mid-PTO shaft (19) for driving working implements is disclosed. The transmission includes a hydrostatic transmission (7) fixedly provided on the front of transmission case (8) so as to use pump shaft (23) thereof for the input of working implement-driving power at a high level into transmission case (8) from which the rear-PTO shaft (17) extends backwardly at a middle level and so as to permit a low level arrangement of the mid-PTO shaft (19). Within the transmission case (8), clutch means (31, 36) and speed-change means (32) for PTO-line are arranged at an upper half whereas speed-change gearing (43) and differential gearing (44) for vehicle drive line are arranged at a lower half by employing motor shaft (22) of the hydrostatic transmission as input shaft. A compact arrangement of transmission components is achieved so that transmission case (8) may be reduced in length as well as in weight.

  • Patent number: 4148382
Abstract: A vehicle power transmission for tractors and the like having a fluid operated speed-change mechanism which comprises a plurality of rotatably mounted speed-change gears arranged on a lay shaft and a plurality of fluid actuated clutches associated with the respective speed-change gears for selectively connecting each of the gears to the lay shaft. A brake is provided which selectively brakes the lay shaft at the non-operation state of the fluid operated speed-change mechanism. The brake prevents unexpected transmission of power through the speed-change mechanism at the non-operation state of the mechanism, thereby preventing problems such as an unexpected start of the vehicle.
