  • Publication number: 20220356962
Abstract: A stick slip detection system includes: an operation data storage unit configured to store a stick slip index, the stick slip index being a ratio of a first state amount based on a displacement of a valve shaft of a valve to be diagnosed to a second state amount based on the displacement; an abnormality diagnosis unit configured to determine whether a stick slip phenomenon occurs in the diagnosis target based on the stick slip index; and a diagnosis operation control unit configured to, when a stepwise change in a control command value in an intermediate opening degree of the valve to be diagnosed is detected, stop a determination operation of the abnormality diagnosis unit. The present disclosure makes it possible to easily reflect knowledge of an expert with respect to a diagnosis target such as a valve in the stick slip detection system and method.

  • Patent number: 8244047
Abstract: An image compression unit of the invention includes a preprocessing unit that performs preprocessing for converting a first bit string representing intensity of pixels of which image data is composed into a second bit string, a number of digits of which is smaller than a number of digits of the first bit string, based on a predetermined region included in the image data and a first attribute information for identifying an attribute of the predetermined region, with the preprocessing being associated with the predetermined region of the image data and a bit string conversion unit which converts the second bit string into a third bit string based on distribution of frequency of appearance of the intensity in the second bit string and the first attribute information such that, for the pixel having higher frequency of appearance, the number of bit planes on which data of the pixel appear is less.

  • Patent number: 7577300
Abstract: An image encoding apparatus comprises first processing means for determining whether or not each bit in a bit plane of a code block should be processed in a first pass, and second processing means for determining whether or not each bit in a bit plane of a code block should be processed in a second pass which is other than the first pass. The first processing means and the second processing means operate in parallel for the same bit plane of the same code block. The first pass is a SIG (significance propagation) pass used in the processing of JPEG-2000 image compression/decompression scheme, for example, and the second pass is a REF (magnitude refinement) pass used in the JPEG-2000 processing.

  • Patent number: 7305138
Abstract: An image encoding apparatus encodes an image signal according to a JPEG2000 standard. A wavelet converter in the image encoding apparatus acquires a plurality of conversion coefficients by performing wavelet conversion on the image signal. A modeling unit in the image encoding apparatus generates a plurality of symbols representing the plurality of conversion coefficients and a plurality of contexts by performing a modeling process on the plurality of conversion coefficients obtained by the wavelet converter. An arithmetic encoder in the image encoding apparatus discriminates whether each of the symbols is an MPS (More Probable Symbol) or LPS (Less Probable Symbol). In a case where it is discriminated that the symbol is an MPS, the arithmetic encoder executes CODEMPS. In a case where it is discriminated that the symbol is an LPS, the arithmetic encoder executes CODEMPS executes either CODEMPS or CODELPS according to a predetermined condition.
