Abstract: A mobile phone, when it is stolen or lost, autonomously detecting and protecting by itself the data held inside, wherein a security managing unit performs a predetermined security operation based on the above detection results wherein when it judges there is “no user presence reaction” by a user presence monitoring unit and it judges the power is on by a power monitoring unit or when it judges that the power is being turned off and the power is turned back on, it locks the access to data, evacuates the data outside, or deletes the data in accordance with the results of judgment whether the phone is in range or out of range by a radio status monitoring unit.

Abstract: An exercise monitoring device includes: a setting section which sets a user's age and resting pulse rate; a calculating section which calculates a pulse rate range of aerobic exercise on the basis of the age and the resting pulse rate set by the setting section; a sensor which measures a working pulse rate of the user; a monitoring section which monitors whether or not the pulse rate measured by the sensor is within the pulse rate range calculated by the calculating section; and a notifying section which notifies the user of a result of monitoring obtained by the monitoring section.

Abstract: According to an aspect of an embodiment, an apparatus having an input device for inputting information and a display for displaying information comprises, a storage for storing information corresponding to an ultra violet ray intensity in association with location information and time information and a processor for obtaining information of an ultra violet ray intensity on the basis of location information and time information inputted by the input device in reference to the information stored in the storage, and for displaying the obtained information of the ultra violet ray intensity on the display.

A software-source selecting unit selects the software source based on the data stored in the memory unit when the peripheral-device monitoring unit detects the connection of the peripheral device.
