  • Patent number: 6469799
Abstract: Determination is made whether or not memory contents have been changed for each memory block. A physical memory corresponding to the memory block whose contents have not been changed is released as an area where no rendering data is stored. Then such area is managed distinguishably from other areas where rendering data are stored. As a result, memory areas are effectively utilized.

  • Patent number: 5457540
Abstract: An image processing apparatus adds information to read image signals and arranges a mark indicative of a position where the information is added so that the additional information can be easily extracted. An image processor processes full-color image signals from a line sensor and a binarization circuit binarizes the signals using a pseudo half-tone processing. A density judgment circuit judges the density of the image signals and controls a modulator which adds additional information. The modulator refers to the contents of a ROM and changes dot positions in the binarized image signals based on the referred information and adds the additional information to the image signals. A FIFO compensates for image signals delayed by the density judgment circuit.

  • Patent number: 4954913
Abstract: An image reading apparatus providing boundary shading correction includes reading circuitry for reading an image line by line and outputting image data, a first moving device for repeatedly moving the reading position of the reading circuitry in a main scanning direction a plurality of times, and a second moving device for moving the reading position of the reading circuitry in a subscanning direction every time the reading position of the reading circuitry is moved in the main scanning direction. Detection circuitry is provided for detecting a difference between image data outputted from the reading circuitry during a preceding movement of the reading position in the main scanning direction and image data outputted from the reading circuitry during a current movement of the reading position in the main scanning direction. Finally, correction circuitry is provided for correcting the image data outputted from the reading circuitry based on the difference detected by the detection circuitry.

  • Patent number: 4771755
Abstract: A method of detecting abnormality in an air-fuel ratio control system for an internal combustion engine, the air-fuel ratio control system having a proportional control valve arranged in an air supply passage for supplying secondary air therethrough to the engine and controlled in response to an output signal from an oxygen concentration sensor arranged in an exhaust system of the engine in a manner such that its valve opening varies in proportion to the magnitude of driving current supplied thereto. A circuit is provided which includes a first transistor, the proportional control valve, and a second transistor arranged in the order mentioned and serially connected with each other between a power source for supplying a predetermined voltage and ground. A value of voltage at a predetermined location in said circuit is sensed while the first and second transistors are in predetermined states of conduction and non-conduction.

  • Patent number: 4681078
Abstract: An air-fuel ratio control system for an internal combustion engine having a carburetor with a slow speed circuit, includes a feedback control means by which an air intake side secondary air is supplied to the carburetor, on the downstream side of the throttle valve, in response to a result of detection of air-fuel ratio in terms of the oxygen concentration in the exhaust gas of the engine. Under a predetermined operating condition of the engine, the feedback control of the air-fuel ratio by means of the control of the air intake side secondary air is performed while the supply of the fuel through the slow speed circuit of the fuel supply system is controlled in response to the result of the detection of the air-fuel ratio. In a variation of the system, the supply of the fuel through the slow speed circuit is stopped during the predetermined operating condition of the engine.
