Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes: a main body device that performs information processing; and a plurality of control devices that control the main body device, wherein a first control device that operates as a master that controls the main body device is configured to: determine whether a second control device that operates as a slave that takes over a function of the master when an error occurs in the first control device is normal; and perform a first transfer that transfers a control command used to control the main body device to the second control device when determining that the second control device is normal, and the second control device is configured to: receive the control command which is transferred by the first transfer unit; and perform a second transfer that transfers the control command which is received to the main body device.
