    Abstract: An outer peripheral end of the substrate is held with a plurality of chuck pins provided at a spin plate abutting against a plurality of portions of the outer peripheral end of the substrate, and the spin plate is rotated about a rotation axis. A cleaning head is moved by a head moving mechanism while being pressed against a back surface of the substrate held by the plurality of chuck pins by the head moving mechanism, and foreign matter on the back surface of the substrate is removed by polishing with the cleaning head. A reaction force against a load applied to the back surface of the substrate by the cleaning head is generated in the substrate by auxiliary pins. Alternatively, the back surface of the substrate, which has been cleaned or is being cleaned by the cleaning head, is further cleaned by a cleaning brush.

A lower portion of the splash prevention cup is stored in the storage member. Cleaning and drying processing using a cleaning liquid are performed on the substrate rotated by the lower spin chuck. At this time, the splash prevention cup is supported such that the annular opening is opposite to the outer peripheral end of the substrate. Gas in a space opposite to the annular opening is sucked from the annular opening through a first annular space of the splash prevention cup and a second annular space in the storage member.

    Abstract: An image processing device which generates an image where a target object can be discriminated from an object other than the target object. An image processor (15), for echo signals read from a sweep memory (14), calculates a ratio of echo signals indicating a predetermined level or higher among the echo signals of a predetermined number of samples, and generates image data having a display element according to the calculated ratio. This ratio indicates a lower value for an object more isolated and a higher value for an object existing as a larger mass. The image processor (15)acquires color values according to the calculated ratio. Since the target object, such as a ship, is an isolated object and the ratio becomes low, the color values indicate red, and since inland is an object existing as a large mass and the ratio becomes high, the color values indicate green.

    Abstract: Transport mechanisms are respectively provided in first and second processing blocks. Each transport mechanism has a hand. The hand holds the other surface of a substrate without coming into contact with an edge of the substrate. The hand is moved such that the substrate is transported between an adhesion reinforcement processing unit or a cooling unit and a coating processing unit or a development processing unit. In the adhesion reinforcement processing unit and the cooling unit, temperature processing is performed on the substrate while the back surface of the substrate is held by suction. In the coating processing unit and the development processing unit, a processing liquid is supplied to the main surface of the substrate while the back surface of the substrate is held by suction by a spin chuck.

The spin chuck holds a substrate such that the upper surface of the substrate is opposite to the spin plate. In this state, the spin motor operates, causing the spin plate to rotate and thus the lower surface of the rotating substrate to be cleaned by a cleaning brush.
