  • Patent number: 6026558
Abstract: An armature for an electric rotating machine has a plurality of outer coil elements and a plurality of inner coil elements. Each of the coil elements has end protrusions extending axially outwardly from an axial side of an armature. The end protrusions facing each other in a radial direction is joined by an arc welding. In one method, the end protrusion of the outer coil element is formed a projection at an axially inside of an axial end of the protrusion. The end protrusions are held spaced apart from each other in the radial direction while contacting only through the projection. The axial ends of the protrusions are welded by swinging the welding arc. In another method, a ring-shaped brazing material is interposed between the end protrusions. The brazing material is melted by the welding arc to weld the end protrusions, while cutting out the brazing material existing between two adjacent pairs of the end protrusions.

  • Patent number: 4768067
Abstract: A method for correcting the focus at plural image positions in a reproducing camera system in which plural images are to be formed on a photosensitive material, the supporting base for which can vary in flatness from position to position. Prior to exposure of the photosensitive material, values are stored in a memory for each image position indicative of the amount of deviation of that position from a reference flat position. For the exposure of each image position, the corresponding value is read out and applied to an automatic lens positioning system to thus correct the focus for each image position.

  • Patent number: 4701046
Abstract: A method and apparatus for photographing images on a microfilm from a manuscript placed on a table together with additional information is arranged such that a photographing position for the manuscript is displaced from that for the additional information structurally. A format of blip marks, a frame size, and a counting system of the additional information are preset and the presetting of the frame size is effected with an actuation of a mask plate. The size of the additional information on the microfilm is made selectable between discrete values in accordance with the magnification of the manuscript. The photographing of the manuscript and the additional information is then effected in a chronological order.

  • Patent number: 4632540
Abstract: In recording original images such as manuscripts on microfilm, it is necessary to expose the images at an appropriate amount of light which well corresponds with the original density. According to the present invention, there is provided only one sensor for detecting the density of the original images, making it possible to quickly detect the overall density of the original image. The result of the above photometry permits exposure of a microfilm with an amount of light which makes the lightest portion of the microfilmed images constant in density, thereby to achieve high quality control of microfilming process.

  • Patent number: 4583837
Abstract: A copy board for a reproducing camera in which the illumination of an original to be copied is maintained constant, independent of the size of the original. The copy board includes first and second sets of masking members with the two members of each set being reciprocatable in opposite directions from one another and with the directions of reciprocation of the two sets being perpendicular to one another. The sides of the mask members disposed towards a light source are made reflective, while the opposite sides are made light absorbing. An original guide member is provided on the surface of the copy board, with the original guide member being movable in synchronization with the movement of the mask members.

  • Patent number: 4576469
Abstract: A mechanism for cutting film supplied in the form of a long strip into segments having a predetermined length and transporting the segments to a subsequent processing stages wherein cutting, positioning and holding of the film are performed substantially simultaneously with an apparatus having a simple construction. A film suction platen is provided having a plurality of holes formed therein. A lowered pressure is provided on the side of the platen opposite that on which film segments of a predetermined length are fed from a supply reel. A cutting mechanism is mounted alongside the platen to cut the segments after they have been fed. After the segments have been cut, and following exposure while on the film suction platen, the film suction platen is reciprocated to a take-out section which extracts the exposed film segments from the surface of the film suction platen and feeds them to the processing stage.

  • Patent number: 4533225
Abstract: An apparatus for processing a sensitive material, specifically, photographic film which has been exposed, in which the processing liquids and washing water needed for developing, fixing and washing the film are supplied from removable cartridges. Liquid from the various cartridges is pumped to respective developing, fixing and washing stations through a structure which can be selectively inserted into and removed from the respective cartridges. As a result, no piping is required for supplying the processing liquids and washing water from external source to the processing apparatus, thereby simplifying the overall configuration of the apparatus.
