Abstract: There is provided with an apparatus including: a receiving section which receives a frame including an error detection code from a network; an error detecting section which performs error detection on the frame received by the receiving section based on the error detection code; a data storage which stores data in a predetermined field of the frame as replacement data in a case where an error is not detected in the frame; a data selecting section which selects the replacement data from the data storage in a case where an error is detected in the frame; and a frame generating section which generates a frame in which data in the predetermined field of the frame is replaced with the replacement data selected by the data selecting section in the case where an error is detected in the frame; wherein the error detecting section performs error detection on the generated frame.

Abstract: A wireless receiver includes an AD converter which includes a plurality of units for converting a received analog signal into a digital signal and can switch an output precision by selecting one or more units to be operated from the plurality of units, and a received signal level calculator which is connected to the AD converter and calculates a received signal level based on the digital signal output from the AD converter. The wireless receiver switches the output precision of the AD converter by selecting the one or more units to be operated from the plurality of units based on the received signal level.

The equalizing section outputs the received data subjected only to channel compensation and phase rotation compensation and the received data subjected not only to those compensations but also to power amplifier distortion compensation. These two received data items are subjected to an error process separately at the error processing sections. On the basis of the decisions at the error processing sections, the select section makes a final decision whether the receiving process has been successful or unsuccessful. That is, if either of the two decisions has been successful, the receiving process is regarded as successful. Only if both of the two decisions have been unsuccessful, the receiving process is regarded as unsuccessful.
