  • Patent number: 9529459
Abstract: A navigation device having a small navigation sensor pixel array capable of ultra high speed imaging is proposed. A first image and a second image of a plurality of images are selected according to a predetermined difference between the corresponding acquisition times of the first image and the second image. The first image and the second image are compared to determine an amount of overlap between the first image and the second image. The predetermined difference is adjusted for subsequent image comparisons according to the amount of overlap between the first image and the second image.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 21, 2014
Date of Patent: December 27, 2016
Assignee: PixArt Imaging (Penang) SDN. BHD.
Inventors: Shan Chong Tan, Kok Chin Pan

  • Patent number: 8067992
Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments of temperature-compensated relaxation oscillator circuits that may be fabricated using conventional CMOS manufacturing techniques. The relaxation oscillator circuits described herein exhibit superior low temperature coefficient performance characteristics, and do not require the use of expensive off-chip high precision resistors to effect temperature compensation. Positive and negative temperature coefficient resistors arranged in a resistor array offset one another to provide temperature compensation in the relaxation oscillator circuit.

  • Patent number: 7679672
Abstract: An electronic flash, imaging device and method for producing a flash of light having a wavelength spectrum in the visible wavelength range and the infrared wavelength range uses a fluorescent material to convert at least some of the original light emitted from one or more light sources of the electronic flash to longer wavelength light to produce the flash of light. The light sources may be configured to generate light having a peak wavelength in an ultraviolet-and-visible wavelength range. The fluorescent material may include any combination of red, green, blue and yellow phosphors.

  • Patent number: 7481562
Abstract: A device and method for providing illuminating light utilizes quantum dots to convert at least some of the original light emitted from a light source of the device to longer wavelength light to change the color characteristics of the illuminating light. The quantum dots may be included in the light source, a light panel and/or an optional interface medium of the device.

  • Publication number: 20080157698
Abstract: A lighting unit having a light generating section and a base section is disclosed. The base and light generating sections are reversibly connected by a series of mating connectors. The light generating section includes a plurality of groups of LEDs and a mixing structure. The base section includes an adapter that connects the lighting unit to an AC power receptacle designed to receive an incandescent lamp or a fluorescent lamp. The base section also includes a controller that powers the LEDs. The lighting unit also includes a sensor that periodically measures a parameter related to the intensity of light generated by each group of LEDs during the normal operation of the lighting unit. The controller uses this sensor to control the LEDs. The lighting section can also include a housing that has the shape of a conventional incandescent or fluorescent light fixture or light bulb.

  • Patent number: 7265488
Abstract: A light emitting device in which a primary light generator, such as a light emitting diode (LED) or laser diode, is operable to emit a primary light that is received by a body of wavelength converting material. A portion of the primary light is absorbed by the body of wavelength converting material and is emitted as secondary light. The wavelength converting material contains phosphor nano-particles and larger phosphor particles. The phosphor nano-particles prevent transmission of primary light while the larger phosphor particles provide efficient light conversion.
