Abstract: A junction conveyor is disclosed. The junction conveyor includes a stationary end and a switching end. A stationary assembly is disposed at the stationary end and a switching conveyor assembly disposed at the switching end. The junction conveyor includes a counter conveyor assembly between the stationary and switching conveyor assemblies. The junction conveyor includes a counter movement unit. The counter movement unit causes the counter conveyor assembly to move in an opposite direction as the switching conveyor assembly during switching from a home position to a switch position.

Abstract: According to one aspect, there is provided a motor drive controller for use in a network of motor drive controllers, the motor drive controller comprising: a sensor configured to detect a status of a network controller controlling operation of the network of motor drive controllers; and a processor configured to enter into a slave operation mode, in which the processor receives operating instructions from the network controller, or a master operation mode, in which the processor provides operating instructions to the network of motor drive controllers, wherein the processor is further configured to receive the status of the network controller from the sensor and select the master operation mode when the network controller is inactive.

Abstract: A belt conveyor system with a distributing belt conveyor unit having upper and lower movable frame assemblies that are pivotally connected to a gear unit that simultaneously moves the lower movable frame assembly in opposition to the movement of the upper movable frame assembly, therein allowing the belt to track smoothly when transferring the articles between one branch belt conveyor unit and two or more branch belt conveyors units. The construction of the distributing belt conveyor unit allows for easy removal of the belt.

Abstract: According to one aspect, there is provided a diverter assembly for diverting articles on a load bearing surface of a conveyor, the diverter assembly comprising: a base frame; a slider assembly that is movable with respect to the base frame; a deflector pivotally connected to the slider assembly, the deflector pivoting between a passive position, in which the deflector extends generally along the base frame to allow articles on the conveyor to pass freely, and an active position in which the deflector extends away from the base frame to divert articles on the conveyor; and a crank link configured to reciprocate the slider assembly while rotating in a single direction.

Abstract: A junction conveyor which facilitates transferring of articles from one conveyor to another conveyor is disclosed. The junction conveyor includes a conveyor frame and a pulley arrangement having a plurality of pulleys being mounted onto the frame. The pulley arrangement includes at least a first and a second pulley defining a first and a second end of the junction conveyor. The pulley arrangement also includes at least one free rolling pulley and a drive pulley. The junction conveyor further includes a belt being fitted to the pulley arrangement to form a junction conveying surface of the junction conveyor.
