  • Patent number: 4453293
Abstract: A clamping arrangement for clamping a corona discharge wire in electrophotographic copying apparatuses has a bush member with an inner surface provided with a plurality of teeth, a clamping member located inside the bush and having an outer surface provided with a plurality of teeth, so that one end portion of the corona discharge wire can be clamped between the teeth of the bush and the clamping member, a sliding member displaceable in a longitudinal direction of the corona discharge wire so as to support at least the clamping member therein, and a spring member engaging the sliding member and acting in a direction which is opposite to the pulling direction of the corona discharge wire.

  • Patent number: 4214733
Abstract: A device for tensioning the corona-discharge wires of e.g. electrostatic copiers has an internally toothed sleeve member in which an externally toothed clamping member is turnably received. Both members have openings transverse to the longitudinal axis of the sleeve member. When an end portion of a corona wire whose other end is fixedly secured, is inserted through both openings in aligned condition of the same, turning of the clamping member draws the end portion between the members, tensioning the wire and clamping the end portion between the teeth of the members.

  • Patent number: 4166689
Abstract: Apparatus for wet treatment of X-ray films, photographic paper or analogous carriers of photosensitive material has at least one treatingunit for carriers, and such treating unit has a liquid-containing vessel with an inlet opening for carriers at the top and an outlet opening for carriers at the bottom, or vice versa. Liquid which escapes from the vessel via opening in the bottom is intercepted by the tank of a sealing device with two squeegees located in the tank above a horizontal passage in line with the openings of the vessel. One or more pairs of advancing rolls in the vessel transport the carriers along a vertical path which extends between the openings of the vessel. The carriers which move downwardly from the upper toward and beyond the lower opening of the vessel thereupon advance along a second vertical path which extends through the nip of the squeegees and through the passage.

  • Patent number: 4135698
Abstract: A sealing device which can open or seal a gap between two spaces that are maintained at different pressures has two members provided with surfaces flanking the gap and a seal which is received in a recess provided in one of the surfaces and extending transversely of the gap. The seal has a first section constituting a diaphragm or a hose which is secured to the recessed member and a second section resembling a flap integral with but pivotable relative to the first section at that side of the first section which is nearer to the low-pressure space. The first section is deformable in response to admission of pressurized fluid against one of its sides whereby the other side moves the flap, or at least the free marginal portion of the flap, against the surface of the non-recessed member.
