  • Patent number: 9105413
Abstract: A pushbutton of a portable apparatus is locked against inward axial movement by engagement with a locking member when the locking member is unthreaded a distance A from the apparatus body and brought into abutment with a fixed stopper member. The pushbutton is released from its locked state when the locking member is threaded into the apparatus body and brought out of abutment with the stopper member and into abutment with the apparatus body. In its unlocked state, a head portion of the pushbutton is axially spaced a distance B from an opposedly facing portion of the locking member, wherein A?B.

  • Patent number: 7614785
Abstract: A timepiece has a case body and a bezel rotatably and detachably connected to the case body. A ring-shaped guide groove formed in the bezel opposes a ring groove formed in the case body, and a plurality of holding members are slidable in the guide groove into and out of the ring groove to respectively prevent and permit detachment of the bezel from the case body. A plurality of operating screws are screwed into the bezel from an outer side thereof and are rotatably connected at their front end portions to respective holding members. Rotation of the operating screws in tightening and loosening directions moves the holding members into and out of the ring groove.

  • Patent number: 7517139
Abstract: A portable timepiece has a timepiece movement and a movement interlock axle that undergoes linear movement and undergoes rotational movement to transmit a rotational force to the timepiece movement. An external operation body is operable to linearly move and rotate the movement interlock axle. A stopper member undergoes movement between a first position in which the stopper member is engaged with an engagement part of the movement interlock axle to prevent linear movement thereof and a second position in which the stopper member is not engaged with the engagement part to permit linear movement.

  • Patent number: 7494270
Abstract: Even if a lock member impeding a crown from being excessively pull-moved is carelessly moved, its recovery is easy, and a function for stopping a careless movement of the crown, by the lock member, is maintained for a long period. A wristwatch possesses a case band, a crown, a protector, and a lock mechanism. A winding stem pipe is attached to the case band. The crown has a crown head having non connection relation with the winding stem pipe. This crown is supported to the winding stem pipe so as to be movable in an axial direction of this pipe. The protector is attached to the case band while facing on an end face of the crown head so as to allow an operation of this crown head. The lock mechanism is provided operably in the protector. The lock mechanism has a screw body, and a lock member linearly moving in a direction contacted with and separated from the end face of the crown head by a rotation of the screw body.

  • Publication number: 20080025158
Abstract: To provide a portable timepiece in which there has been made such that a constitution for removing, together with a winding stem, a crown from a timepiece movement does not become a restriction factor in regard to a size of a dial, and a factor impairing a design visually showing a periphery part of a timepiece armor assembly thinly. A timepiece movement is built-in in a timepiece armor assembly which possesses an armor case of one-piece structure in which a case bottom wall and a case barrel part have been monolithically made, and in which a taper face has been formed in a peripheral part back face of the case. A winding stem having a stopper engagement part and connected to a movement so as to be insertable/removable from a side is built-in in the armor assembly so as to be movable in a direction intersecting a thickness direction of this assembly. A crown connected to the winding stem is made detachable in the barrel part from a side.

  • Patent number: 7278783
Abstract: To provide a wristwatch capable of promoting operability of attaching and detaching an end-piece to and from a rod leg and capable of promoting handling performance in being brought to and from a storing place. A recess portion is formed at a back face of an end-piece of a strap. Through holes opposed to attaching holes of rod legs are respectively provided at side walls of the piece in a state of receiving the piece at a rod crotch between the rod leg of a case body continuous to each other. An attaching member including a fold back portion having pinching portions and capable of being elastically deformed in directions of increasing and reducing an interval therebetween and attaching shaft portions folded to bend from the two portions to be rotatably inserted into the holes is contained in a recess portion movably between a first position and a second position.

  • Patent number: 7137732
Abstract: A portable timepiece has a bezel rotatably disposed on a case body, and an elastically deformable gasket interposed between the case body and the bezel in an elastically deformed state to exert a frictional force on the case body and the bezel sufficient to maintain the bezel in a stationary rotational position though permitting the bezel to be manually rotated to any desired position by overcoming the frictional force. One or more lock members are movably disposed on the bezel and contact a slip-preventing part provided on the case body. A manually rotatable holding ring engages with the lock members and is rotatable in one direction to increase the contact pressure between the lock members and the slip-preventing part to thereby prevent unintended rotation of the bezel, and is rotatable in the other direction to decrease the contact pressure to thereby permit manual rotation of the bezel by overcoming the frictional force exerted by the elastically deformed gasket.

  • Publication number: 20050141347
Abstract: To provide a portable timepiece capable of suppressing a bezel from carelessly rotating and deviating, without impairing a rotation operability of the bezel. An annular bezel is rotatably disposed around an annular protrusion part of a case band to whose inner periphery there is attached a cover glass. A gasket made of an elastic material, which makes the bezel stationary to a desirable rotated position with respect to the case band, is interposed between the bezel and the case band under a state giving a frictional force to these. A holding mechanism, which holds the bezel to a stationary state with respect to the case band and can release this holding state, is provided separately from the gasket. By this, a rotation operability of the bezel is made light by restricting the rotation of the bezel by means of the holding mechanism to thereby suppress a careless rotation of the bezel and thus by the fact that the gasket is caused not to bear a function suppressing the rotation of the bezel.

  • Publication number: 20050094498
Abstract: To provide a portable watch in which a crown can be held so as not to be turned carelessly utilizing engagement of screws without being restricted by a function of a watch movement, durability is improved, and a screw lock operation for the crown is light. The present invention is premised on a portable watch in which a crown, which is connected to a winding stem transmitting a turning force to a watch movement in a case band, is engaged with a male screw section of a pipe attached to the case band, whereby a crown is held so as not to be turned. The crown includes: a crown shaft that moves the winding stem in association with the crown shaft; and a crown head that turns this shaft. A turning force receiving section is provided on a peripheral part of a shaft end of a crown shaft arranged outside the pipe. A female screw section and a turning force transmission section are provided in the crown head. The female screw section is detachably engaged with the male screw section.
