  • Publication number: 20200049682
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to increase the accuracy of water quality measurement of ballast waters with different oxidant concentrations. A ballast water measurement apparatus (2 or 62) is provided with: a first measuring unit (6-1 or 64-1) for measuring an oxidant concentration of ballast water after addition of an oxidant or ballast water before addition of a neutralizing agent; a second measuring unit (6-2 or 64-2) for measuring an oxidant concentration of ballast water after neutralization of the oxidant; and a casing (4) that accommodates the first measuring unit and the second measuring unit. Oxidant concentration measurement ranges of the first measuring unit and the second measuring unit are different.

  • Publication number: 20200010344
Abstract: An equipment management system for a ship includes a communicating part that acquires from the ship by radio notification information including one piece of state information, or two or more pieces of state information selected from pieces of state information on at least ballast water process equipment, boiler equipment, and water desalination process equipment loaded on the ship, and a processing part that extracts the pieces of state information on the ballast water process equipment, the boiler equipment, or the water desalination process equipment from the notification information acquired from the ship, produces management information including drug information at least necessary for the ballast water process equipment, the boiler equipment, or the water desalination process equipment, and causes the communicating part to send out the management information to the ship sending out at least the notification information.

  • Patent number: 10145832
Abstract: A state of a ballast water treatment system of a ship detected by a variety of sensors is monitored by transmitting it to a control means provided with a data storage/transmission means. The control means transmits from a satellite communication means to a satellite communication means on the receiving side via a communication satellite, and a host computer receives it. The host computer analyzes and monitors information from the various sensors S1 to S6 and sends back an optimal operation state, which is received by the satellite communication means on the ship side via the communication satellite, and the control means maintains an operation of the ballast water treatment system based on instructions from the host computer. According to the remote monitoring device for a ballast water treatment system as above, the ballast water treatment system can be monitored and controlled from remote.

  • Patent number: 9212073
Abstract: A ships' ballast water treatment agent is obtained by blending phosphate and sodium hydroxide into a hypochlorite solution and has pH of 10 to 13. A blending amount of phosphate is preferably such that a weight ratio of effective chlorine to phosphate acid (PO4) (effective chlorine:phosphate acid) is 30:1 to 2:1. A ships' ballast water treatment agent as such has excellent performance in killing bacteria and microorganisms, such as plankton, included in ships' ballast water and has stability and an anticorrosion property.
