  • Publication number: 20070269203
Abstract: A digital camera includes a light-emitting section provided with LEDs that emit fill light. The digital camera also includes a visible-light transmission section that transmits data representing a live view or data representing shooting information, after superimposing the data on light emitted from the LEDs by modulating the light. The transmitted data is received by a visible-light reception section of a mobile telephone that displays an image on its display screen based on the received data.

  • Publication number: 20070223914
Abstract: A camera system comprises: an imaging unit incorporating therein an imaging device, the imaging unit forming an image of a subject on the imaging device to generate image data; and a camera main frame on which the imaging unit is detachably mounted, the camera main frame receiving an image signal generated in the imaging device of the imaging unit to perform signal processing. The camera system has a turning mechanism that turns the imaging unit by turning the imaging unit which is mounted on the camera main frame.

  • Publication number: 20070110426
Abstract: An image-taking apparatus includes: an A/D conversion circuit having an amplifier that is capable of amplifying image signals per shooting frame; and a gain changer that changes the gain of the amplifier. The apparatus causes the gain changer to increase the gain of the amplifier up to a level that compensates for a gradual decrease in the amount of light emitted from LEDs that occurs during continuous shooting. As a result, the amplitude level of every image signal is made constant and thus, replayed images of the same brightness shot during the continuous shooting are obtained.

  • Publication number: 20070047935
Abstract: An image-taking apparatus includes: a CCD having an imaging surface; and an image-taking optical system having an objective lens. The apparatus further includes: a shake detector that detects a shake of the image-taking apparatus; and a correction lens disposed between the objective lens and the CCD and moving in parallel with the imaging surface to correct a blur in an image formed on the imaging surface caused by the shake of the image-taking apparatus. The apparatus further includes: an electromagnet disposed behind the CCD and driving the correction lens; a power transmission system that moves the correction lens by transmitting power from the electromagnet to the correction lens; and a correction-lens controller that causes, based on a detection result from the shake detector, the electromagnet to drive the correction lens such that an image whose blur due to the shake is corrected is formed on the imaging surface.

  • Publication number: 20070024720
Abstract: An image taking apparatus has a light emitting section, a color temperature circuit and a system control circuit. The light emitting section includes LEDs respectively emitting each color of red, green and blue. In response to the result of color temperature measurement in the color temperature circuit, the system control circuit instructs the light emitting section to emit fill-in light, by controlling light intensity of the LEDs to be combined, according to any one of the four color temperatures of sunny weather, cloudy weather, tungsten light and fluorescent light.

  • Publication number: 20070013789
Abstract: An image taking system of the invention has a transmitter and an image taking apparatus. The transmitter is disposed near a subject and transmits subject information of the subject. The image taking apparatus has a receiver capable of receiving the subject information transmitted from the transmitter and stores in memory the subject information received by the receiver in association with image data representing a subject image obtained by image taking through an image taking lens. The transmitter transmits the subject information in a predetermined direction. The receiver is capable of receiving the subject information within a predetermined range around an optical axis of the image taking lens.

  • Publication number: 20070014558
Abstract: In an image taking apparatus, an arc tube and a reflector are moved forward when a zoom switch is operated to a WIDE-side and two reflection side plates are disposed such as to cover and hide Fresnel lenses located on both ends of a protector. Light emitted sideway from the arc tube is reflected from the reflection side plates, the light is introduced toward a central portion of the protector, and a radiation field suitable for a wide angle is formed. If the zoom switch is operated toward the TELE side, the reflection side plates are inclined such as to expose the Fresnel lenses on the both ends of the protector and the arc tube and the reflector are retreated at the same time, light emitted sideway from the arc tube is entirely guided to the Fresnel lenses, and a radiation field suitable for a TELE angle is formed.

  • Publication number: 20070014557
Abstract: An image taking apparatus has a small light-emitting section capable of easily adjusting a luminous intensity distribution of flash. Two reflection side plates are disposed such that they cover Fresnel lenses disposed on both ends of a protector when a zoom switch is operated to a WIDE side, light emitted sideway from an arc tube is reflected to the two reflection side plates and is guided toward a central side of the protector, and the luminous intensity distribution is adjusted such as to fit the WIDE image taking angle of view. If the zoom switch is operated to a TELE side, the two reflection side plates are inclined, light emitted sideway from the arc tube is guided to the Fresnel lenses, and the luminous intensity distribution is adjusted to fit a TELE image taking angle of view.
