  • Patent number: 8110178
Abstract: A dental-plaque detection system and dental-plaque detection method which are excellent in the detection accuracy of dental plaques and also capable of improving the situation to stain sites other than dental plaques (such as interdental parts and gums) are provided. The dental-plaque detection system includes a dental-plaque staining agent, which contains at least one selected from yellow pigment of beni-koji, turmeric extracts, and curcumin; and a light-emitting apparatus, which outputs light having a wavelength within a range of 250 to 500 nm to an object in the oral cavity where the dental-plaque staining agent is attached. The dental-plaque detection method includes attaching a dental-plaque staining agent, which contains at least one selected from yellow pigment of beni-koji, turmeric extracts, and curcumin onto an object in the oral cavity; and thereafter irradiating light having a wavelength within a range of 250 to 500 nm onto the object.

  • Publication number: 20040109896
Abstract: An ophthalmic aqueous suspension preparation to serve as a cure for corneal herpes infection contains 9-[(2-hydroxyethoxy)methyl]guanine as an active ingredient and exhibits an improved stability. Specifically, the ophthalmic aqueous suspension preparation contains 0.2 to 5% by weight of 9-[(2-hydroxyethoxy)methyl]guanine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, 0.05 to 1% by weight of a partially saponified product of polyvinyl acetate, and 0.01 to 1% by weight of a nonionic surfactant and has a pH of 6 to 8. Preferably, the fine crystals have a short axis of 50 &mgr;m or less and a long axis of 70 &mgr;m or less in length and have a ratio of the long axis to the short axis of 10:1 or less.

  • Patent number: 5058626
Abstract: A hydraulic pressure control valve includes a valve body having a slide bore with a circular cross-section, an inlet port opened in an inner surface of the slide bore, a control pressure port and an outlet port at axially spaced-apart distances in this sequence; a valve spool axially slidably fitted in the valve body; and a first variable orifice and a second variable orifice both formed between the valve body and the valve spool. The first variable orifice controls the degree of communication between the inlet port and the control pressure port, and the second variable orifice controls the degree of communication between the control pressure port and the outlet port. In this hydraulic pressure control valve, the valve spool has smaller diameter portions coaxially formed therein to define annular oil passages between the inner surface of the slide bore and the valve spool and each smaller diameter portion has an outer diameter set uniformly over the axially entire length thereof.

  • Patent number: 4857786
Abstract: The present invention provides a large-thrust stepping motor improved in thrust constant by provision of slots at equal intervals between adjacent N and S poles of a permanent magnet disposed on a movable member of the motor or by division of the winding for each phase of a stator of the motor into two or more sections to pass currents independently through the divisional sections in accordance with the speed of the motor.Further, the invention provides a large-thrust stepping motor using a field magnet having large magnetomotive force, the field magnet being formed by combination of a magnet substrate and permanent magnets independent from the magnet substrate.
