Patent number: 7318664Abstract: A light dimming dot pattern is provided for an LCD in which the diameter of dots is changed in a range from approximately 0.16 mm to approximately 0.65 mm depending on the distance of the dots from a fluorescent tube (13) in such a manner that the volume of the shielded light is increased and decreased at a location close to a position overlying the fluorescent tube (13) and at a location remote from the fluorescent tube (13), respectively. In this manner, a light dimming dot pattern with a transmittance for all light rays of approximately 62% (roughly in the vicinity of 62%), higher than the transmittance for all light rays in the conventional technique not higher than 50%, is produced. Consequently, the light of uniform high luminance may be produced without raising the luminance of the fluorescent tube (13), and hence an LCD of high luminance may be realized.Type: GrantFiled: December 19, 2006Date of Patent: January 15, 2008Assignee: Sony CorporationInventors: Masato Hatanaka, Kazuhiro Yokota, Takashi Oku, Shinsuke Kito, Yuichiro Maruyama, Sinobu Yamada, Kouji Iida, Seiji Miyamura

Patent number: 5255197Abstract: A line production management system is provided. In the line production management system, a primary computer, a primary controller, a secondary controller, a tertiary controller and a number of processing machines are provided. The primary controller maintains work files containing work sequence data defining the classification, work priority and quantity of the work objects to be processed, and transmits the work file information through a communication network. The secondary controller generates and maintains correlation files to correlate each work sequence data included in the work files information with the codes which determine each processing to be applied to each work object in each work station, and transmits the correlation files through the communication network. The tertiary controller generates step files based on the work files and correlation files received through the communication network. The step files contain processing instruction data for each work station.Type: GrantFiled: July 3, 1991Date of Patent: October 19, 1993Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Kouji Iida

Patent number: 5202836Abstract: An automated system of managing a group of frame numbers to identify each vehicle in different vehicle model groups is provided. This system comprises a first computer which creates frame number groups and a production ratios of various model vehicles to be produced according to an assigned production schedule; a second computer which takes these frame numbers and organizes them according to the production ratio and serialized numbers to be stamped; and a stamping machine to display and stamp the serialized frame numbers automatically on frame components. Accordingly, the operator is able to check the frame numbers easily with minimum human errors so as to preserve data integrity and stamping errors. This system is also applicable to mixed production of large number of models using a common assembly line.Type: GrantFiled: April 18, 1991Date of Patent: April 13, 1993Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Kouji Iida, Noboru Kagano, Yasuhiro Nobuoka, Kouichi Yamada, Hiromi Mitsumoto
