  • Patent number: 7483395
Abstract: A network device with integrated topology discovery functions adapted to virtual local area networks (VLANs). VLAN segments are mapped on a network system formed from multiple network devices. One network device creates and broadcasts a query packet for topology discovery in each VLAN, in response to a command from a management console linked to that network device. At each receiving network device, a query packet receiver receives the query packet, and a reply packet is produced by a reply packet generator. A reply packet transmitter sends the produced reply packet back to the requesting network device. A query packet transmitter forwards the received query packet to neighboring subordinate network devices.

  • Publication number: 20070025348
Abstract: In a network device and a network system structuring a VLAN at the layer 2 level, a starting network device transmits a structuring packet including a port number corresponding to an address of a terminating network device and a single VLAN after having added thereto an address of the starting network device itself and a port number from which the structuring packet is outputted; a relaying network device transmits the structuring packet to which an address of the relaying network device itself, a port number to which the structuring packet has been inputted, and a port number from which the structuring packet is to be outputted are added; and a terminating network device transmits a setup packet in which port numbers are associated with the VLAN for each of the starting and the relaying network device to each of addresses of the starting and the relaying network device.

  • Patent number: 6996411
Abstract: A wireless communication terminal including a wireless communication unit for receiving and transmitting voice signals between terminals connected through a voice channel and a data channel, a signal input/output unit for inputting and outputting voice signals for voice communication and a mixing unit, interposed between the wireless communication unit and signal input/output unit, for performing mixing operations to create a first mixed signal to be output to said signal input/output unit and second mixed signals each to be transmitted to the corresponding terminal. The wireless communication terminal is preferably used for wireless voice communication performed by three or more terminals without being interposed by a center apparatus (such as a server) or a repeater. Further, signal-receiving/transmitting is set for each wireless communication terminal whereupon convenience can be improved.

  • Patent number: 6320278
Abstract: A power supply device of the present invention includes an electric double layer capacitor connected to, e.g., an HDD (Hard Disk Drive), CD-ROM (Compact Disk Read Only Memory) drive, floppy disk drive or similar motor-driven equipment, and another electric double layer capacitor connected to, e.g., a pulse generating device included in a radio transmitter. The capacitors each feed power when the load of the associated equipment sharply varies during operation of the equipment. This makes it needless for a main power supply to feed such power. A laminate polymer battery is connected to a low voltage IC (Integrated Circuit) and feeds power thereto. This also makes it needless for the main power to feed power to the low voltage IC, and allows a short feed line to connect the laminate polymer battery and IC. The short feed line reduces the transfer of noise to the IC and therefore malfunction ascribable to noise.

  • Patent number: 6177862
Abstract: A comparator compares a first data word with a second data word. The comparator includes a first stage of two input XOR gates, each of which receive one bit of the first word and a corresponding bit of the second word, and output a coincidence detection signal. A first inverter circuit receives a control signal and generates an inverted control signal. A decision circuit receives the inverted control signal and each of the coincidence detection signals, and generates a decision circuit output signal which indicates when any one of the coincidence detection signals is active. A two input NAND gate receives the decision circuit output signal and the control signal and generates a comparator output signal. The decision circuit includes an inverter circuit that receives the inverted control signal from the first inverter circuit and a series of transistors connected between the inverter circuit output terminal and ground. The gates of the transistor receive the respective coincidence detection signals.
