    Abstract: A display device includes: a mirror body; a display component; and a mirror component disposed between the mirror body and the display component and switchable between a transmitting state in which external light and picture light are transmitted and a reflecting state in which the external light passing through the mirror body is reflected. The mirror body includes: a substrate transparent to light; an absorptive polarizer covering a first region not including the mirror component or the display component and a second region including the mirror component and the display component in plan view; and a reflective polarizer disposed on a rear face of the substrate and including an opening in the second region. The mirror component includes: a liquid crystal layer capable of changing a polarization direction of the external light; and a reflective polarizer disposed on a side of the liquid crystal layer adjacent to the display component.

The plurality of light-emitting sources radiates light toward the display panel from a back surface side of the display panel, and is arranged in a matrix along the display panel. The reflection sheet is attached to the back plate, provided with insertion holes into which the light-emitting sources are inserted, and reflects light radiated from the light-emitting sources. The back plate has a plurality of protrusions that causes portions of the reflection sheet to bulge out toward the display panel with the reflection sheet being attached to the back plate.
