  • Patent number: 8806901
Abstract: A rotary sinker enabling stitch formation by a knitting machine using a rotor for forming a stitch, a knitting machine including the rotary sinker, and a stitch forming method are provided. The ring sinkers as rotating bodies are capable of rotating about a rotation axis independently of each other. The rotation times of the ring sinkers are set to be different from each other. Thus, the rotation times are adjusted to be different between the ring sinker that holds an old loop and the ring sinker that holds a new loop. Adjustment of the rotation times prevents application of a large tension to the knitting yarn made of low stretch fiber, and a stitch can be formed even with a knitting yarn made of non-stretch or low-stretch fiber.

  • Patent number: 8434332
Abstract: The present invention provides a rotary sinker capable of suppressing energy loss and achieving reduction in the driving load, a knitting machine provided with the rotary sinker, and a knitting machine control apparatus. The sinker 3 comprises a rotating body 4 that can rotate about an axis, and supporting members 32, 34 which rotatably support the rotating body 4. A circumference edge portion of the rotating body 4 is provided with sinker teeth 41 formed of a plurality of projecting sections to which rotational drive force is transmitted and with which a knitting yarn can be engaged.

  • Patent number: 8215131
Abstract: The knitting element has a rotor capable of rotating about an axis and makes a knit stitch by using rotational motion of the rotor. The rotor is formed in a circular disk shape. A pair of bearing plates is separated from each other in a radial direction of the rotor. The rotor is supported rotatably by bearing plates support slidably the circumferential surface of the rotor. A plurality of teeth to which rotational drive force is transmitted is formed in a circumference edge portion of the rotor. An engagement recess capable of engaging knitting yarn is formed in the circumferential face of the rotor.
