  • Publication number: 20110235897
Abstract: The device includes: an input unit (4) for receiving image data obtained by capturing images of an object by imaging units (C1 to C3); and an arithmetic unit (1) that performs: 1) finding a three-dimensional reconstruction point set that contain three-dimensional position information of segments obtained by dividing a boundary of the object in the image data, and a feature set that contain three-dimensional information regarding vertices of the segments, for each of multiple pairs of two different images; 2) calculating a total three-dimensional reconstruction point set and a total feature set by totaling the three-dimensional reconstruction point sets and the feature sets of the multiple pairs; and 3) matching a model feature set regarding model data of the object with the total feature set, thereby determining, among the total three-dimensional reconstruction point set, points corresponding to model points of the object.

  • Patent number: 6809728
Abstract: Images of a reference object for detecting each camera position are captured by cameras 14, 16 and the relative position between the cameras 14 and 16 is obtained by using the captured images. Then, a target 18 is placed on a turntable 10 onto which reference marks 10a for detecting position are formed, and while the turntable 10 is rotated, images are captured by the cameras 14 and 16. Based on the reference marks 10a on the turntable 10, the positional relationship between the camera 14 and the target 18 is determined, and, based on the relative position of the cameras 14 and 16, the positional relationship between the target 18 and the camera 16 is determined. A three-dimensional model of the target is produced based on the images captured by the cameras 14 and 16. In this manner, a target of relatively large size is easily three-dimensionally modeled.

  • Publication number: 20030108865
Abstract: A microbe analyzing system for analyzing a DNA and identifying the microbe in a sample. The user amplifies a DNA fragment of a microbe in a sample by the PCR method, creates electrophoresis data, sends the electrophoresis data from client computers (12, 14) through a communication network (10) to a server computer (16). The server computer (16) accesses a database (16a) where electrophoresis data set of each microbe is stored, extracts the relevant microbe, and sends the result to the client computers (12, 14). The user is not required to send a sample to an analyzing company and can quickly identify the microbe on the basis of electrophoresis data.

  • Patent number: 6538659
Abstract: In order to store texture images in a smaller data amount, there is provided a method for recording a texture recording image 28 which contains a number of texture images in a memory to thereby record the images of the number of texture in the memory. In this method, the texture images are arranged on the texture recording image 28 based on the shape information of each texture such that a region not being occupied by the images can be reduced on the texture recording image 28.
