Abstract: A thin faux fireplace that can be installed in a wall, such as a 2?×4? wall, having a faux flame viewable from both sides of the faux fireplace. A transparent material, such as glass, is coated with a thin film having nano sized particles, and an ultra short-throw projector displays the faux flame on the thin film. A user can see object on the other side of the faux fireplace, and also view the faux flame on the thin film rooms on both sides of the transparent material.

In some embodiments, granules are removed from the ASW. In some embodiments, the method transforms ASW into ASW powder. In some embodiments, the ASW powder is formed into a plurality of briquettes. In some embodiments, at least one of: the ASW powder, the plurality of briquettes, or any combination thereof is fed into a mixing process that results in an ASW powder filled coating.

The user input allows the user to save a plurality of settings such that the controller generates the synchronized colors upon a single user touch. The firebox has a shallow depth such that it can be mounted in many settings, such as on the ground or inserted in a wall.
