  • Patent number: 9634972
Abstract: The web application of this present process sends two text messages to a smartphone when the web page, where information on deaths and available funeral arrangements is initially entered, is closed; then, a third if information on funeral arrangements is updated. Two of the text messages, which provide notification of the death and a link to the web application to display information on the funeral arrangements, are forwarded to all relevant contacts in the smartphone, with the contacts forwarding the text messages to the relevant contacts in their smartphones.

  • Publication number: 20150330044
Abstract: This present invention is a double-bladed manual snow removing device having a front and a back blade hinged together. The blades can be opened at an acute angle or can be closed contiguously to each other. A handle, attached to the back blade, can swivel in a vertical plane. There are three ways the present device can be used to remove snow: pushing, pulling or lifting. When pushing, the front blade member pushes snow at the acute angle out of the path while the back blade member, which is the trailing blade, scrapes at any remaining snow which, when dislodged, is pushed forward by the back blade member. When pulling, it is the front blade member which is the trailing blade. With the blades closed contiguously to each other and the handle locked to the back blade, the device function as a conventional snow shovel.

  • Patent number: 8814727
Abstract: This present invention is a baseball training device for practicing hitting, comprising a swing member supporting either a ball member or a weighted ball member comprising a ball member attached to a weighted member by an elastic member. The swing member, supported by a base member, is restored to its equilibrium position in hitting practice mode by gravity. As the weighted member is always suspended in air in hitting practice mode, its tension restores its ball member to its equilibrium position. The oscillation of the swing member aids in the dissipation of force imparted to the device in hitting practice mode, making the device stable and stationary, portable and lightweight.

  • Publication number: 20130324329
Abstract: This present invention is a baseball training device for practicing hitting, comprising a swing member supporting either a static and dynamic balanced arm member having a ball at one end or a ball holder member freely supporting a ball. The swing member is supported by a base member and is restored to its equilibrium position in hitting practice mode by gravity. The rotation of the static and dynamic balanced arm member and oscillation of the swing member aid in the dissipation of force imparted to the device in hitting practice mode, making the device stable and stationary, portable and lightweight.

  • Publication number: 20110319200
Abstract: The present invention is a sports device for practicing hitting and fielding a ball/ball-like object comprising an arm member mounted rotatably and substantially horizontal on a base in hitting and fielding practice mode, with a ball/ball-like object positioned at the outer end of the arm member either by a plurality of elastic members, or just freely. The preferred embodiment of the arm member is multi-sectional. The present invention is used in baseball to practice hitting by having the ball/ball-like object in a plurality of stationary positions, or offering the hitter a variety of pitches ranging from fast ball and slow pitch to curve ball by manually or mechanically rotating the ball/ball-like object clockwise or counter clockwise at various speeds at different positions. When the ball/ball-like object is hit into free flight it is used to practice fielding. The height of the ball/ball-like object is easily adjusted.

  • Publication number: 20110319203
Abstract: This present invention is a sports device for practicing hitting a ball/ball-like object/puck, comprising an arm member mounted rotatably and substantially horizontal on a base in hitting practice mode, with the ball/ball-like object/puck positioned at the outer end of the arm member by a plurality of elastic members. The height of the ball/ball-like object/puck from the surface the hitter stands on is easily adjusted by a plurality of height adjusting members. The preferred embodiment of the arm member is multi-sectional. With the base substantially contiguous to the surface the hitter stands on, the present invention is used to practice driving and chipping in golf; and slap-shot and back-hand in ice hockey; and shooting in field hockey. When practicing hitting in golf and hockey, the player is free from constantly bending to position or retrieve the ball/ball-like object/puck.
