  • Patent number: 11920790
Abstract: A combustor liner for a combustor of a gas turbine includes an outer liner having a plurality of outer liner segments, and an inner liner having a plurality of inner liner segments. Each segment of the inner liner and the outer liner includes at least one slotted dilution opening therethrough extending in a circumferential direction, and each slotted dilution opening includes a deflector wall extending radially from the respective liner into a dilution zone of a combustion chamber between the outer liner and the inner liner. The at least one slotted dilution opening may be a curved slot (either concave or convex) dilution opening, and the curved slot dilution openings for each segment of the outer liner and the inner liner may be connected so as to provide a wavy slotted dilution opening extending annularly through the outer liner and the inner liner.

  • Patent number: 11808454
Abstract: A liner for a combustor in a gas turbine engine and a related method. The liner includes a liner body having a cold side and a hot side. The liner includes a dilution passage having a concatenated geometry extending through the liner body. The concatenated geometry has a plurality of discrete dilution holes, an annular slot, and a plurality of dilution inserts. The dilution passage is configured (i) to integrate a first dilution air flow flowing through the dilution passage from the cold side to the hot side and a second dilution air flow flowing through the dilution passage from the cold side to the hot side into an integrated dilution air flow, and (ii) to inject the integrated dilution air flow into a core primary combustion zone of the combustor to attain a predetermined combustion state of the combustor.

  • Publication number: 20130151705
Abstract: By using a unified generic resource provisioning system, all of an organization's resources may be provisioned through a single user interface system, a single cohesive data model, and a single consistent model of access. The system described herein provisions an organization's resources to both new and existing employees in response to different employee events. For example, in response to a single event that indicates that an employee has been hired by the company, he is automatically given access to a phone, a badge, a virtual machine, and SSL certificates that he can use during his employment with the company. Much later, when the same employee terminates his employment with the company, that employee's access to all of these resources is revoked in response to another single event, such as an event originating from a human resources department, indicating that employee's last date of hire with the company.

  • Publication number: 20130110943
Abstract: A centralized notification engine, which serves notifications from multiple applications, receives a request to register a notification from a particular application. Responsive to the request, the notification engine stores information that indicates a context of the notification. The notification engine determines whether the notification satisfies metadata-specified constraints. Responsive to determining that the notification satisfies the constraints, the notification engine selects, from a set of templates, a template that is associated with the notification's context. The notification engine applies the template to information specified by the notification. As a result, a populated template is produced.

  • Patent number: 7703105
Abstract: A method of trapping a logout event includes receiving an HTTP request, checking if a URI of the HTTP request matches an entry in a first map, looking for an entry in a second map, checking for a logout parameter in a list of request query parameters, checking for a logout parameter in a header of the HTTP request, checking for a logout parameter in a body of the HTTP request, and triggering a logout event when the first of the entries or parameters if found. The method can be extended to call a logout handler and can be used in a wide range of web-based computing environments and in particular with policy/web/j2ee agents.

  • Patent number: 7441026
Abstract: A computer system having a user specified web browsing system for selectively monitoring application request to web based applications to detect and track redirection loops. The web browser of an embodiment of the present invention is configured to track multiple web applications at any given time to determine when to terminate requests to the same application resource when a redirection loops develops to that resource. In one embodiment of the present invention, a user programmable cookie is attached to the web browser to periodically check user specified web applications when a redirection loop is detected. The cookie enables the redirection loop to be terminated when the redirection loop reaches a predetermined maximum number of loops.

  • Publication number: 20070233717
Abstract: A generic product configuration framework is disclosed which utilizes a number of components to facilitate platform-independent configuration of installers and the installation of software products. The framework includes metadata, which defines actions, properties and characteristics for creating installers for software products. Two such types of actions include interactions to conduct with a user and tasks to be performed for installing the software product. The framework parses through the metadata and creates executable components for all the actions defined by the metadata, which are organized according to execution relationships specified within the metadata. When installation of a product is requested, the framework causes the executable components to be executed in the correct order, thus installing the software product according to the actions, properties and characteristics specified by the metadata.
