Abstract: A metal cable tie includes a tensioning strip and a head piece designed as a sheet metal part in the form of an elongate capsule with a tapering capsule cross section to receive a locking ball. The head piece includes at least one capsule wall being opposite the capsule bottom and designed to be elastically deflectable and provided with an opening for latching the locking ball in the latched position. A narrowed end of the capsule has an opening suitable for the insertion of a tool to push the locking ball out of the latching position.
