  • Publication number: 20240032487
Abstract: An arbor stake stabilization member and erosion control system using the same are disclosed. In one embodiment of the erosion control system, a tapered stake and a stake stabilization member work in tandem to secure and stabilize the soil. The stabilization member features an annular ring made from a biodegradable material, an axial passageway for stake placement, and a non-biodegradable locking member for secure stake connection. The erosion control system also includes a plate extending outwardly from the annular ring. The plate, made from a biodegradable material, allows for effective water drainage while maintaining soil stability. The erosion control system offers a sustainable solution for soil stabilization and erosion prevention, combining secure stake placement, effective water drainage, and reduced environmental impact, making it a valuable tool in landscape management and environmental conservation.

  • Patent number: 11850465
Abstract: An apparatus for providing suspension and resistance training is disclosed. In one embodiment, a main strap includes a fastener for engaging an anchor at an upper end and a connection point that accepts a load at a lower end. A retraction unit, which provides non-load redundancy to the main strap, includes a coupling member securing the retraction unit to the fastener. The main strap is threaded through the ring end fitting. In an extended configuration, the retractable cable is fully extended, and the length of the main strap is fully extended with the main strap having a non-load transferring relationship to the retraction unit in the extended configuration. In an unloaded retracted configuration, the retractable cable is at least partially retracted into the retraction unit and the length of the main strap is less than fully extended.

  • Publication number: 20230397545
Abstract: An arbor stake stabilization member is disclosed. In one embodiment of the arbor stake stabilization member, a body includes an annular ring of a biodegradable material having an axial passageway therethrough. A locking member is coupled to the annular ring and extends radially inward into the axial passageway. A plate of a biodegradable material extends circumferentially outwardly from the annular ring. The perforated plate includes multiple openings. In use, the arbor stake stabilization member may be placed underground and on or above a rootball of a tree. The locking member is sized to accept an arbor stake therethrough in an interference fit. The arbor stake may extend from the top of the rootball through the rootball and into the undisturbed soil at a point below the rootball. Over time, the arbor stake stabilization member biodegrades.
