  • Publication number: 20060129117
Abstract: The invention relates to a suction body component which is suitable for the durable storage of body fluids and is used to absorb, skin-friendly, single-use products. The suction body component comprises a carrier material and a particulate super absorbing polymer material. The super absorbing polymer material has a core provided with an outer surface and at least one part of the outer surface thereof comprises a coating agent which is used to reduce the absorption rate of the core of the super absorbing polymer material. The coating agent of the super absorbing polymer material comprises a skin-care product.

  • Publication number: 20050273067
Abstract: A method for producing an absorbent structure and the resulting absorbent structure. The method includes the steps of introducing a thermoplastic polymer into an extrusion apparatus, melting the thermoplastic polymer material having a moisture content of at least 0.5 percent by weight into the extrusion apparatus, and extruding the mixture such that the fluid in the superabsorbent polymer material evaporates as pressure is released and induces foaming of the thermoplastic polymer that bonds the particulate polymer material together to create a matrix.

  • Patent number: 6630611
Abstract: An absorbent element for a disposable absorbent hygiene article for absorbing and storing body fluids, notably urine. The element includes an absorbent and distributing layer which, during use, is situated in proximity to the body and contains internally cross-linked cellulose fibers, and a storage layer which, during use, is situated away from the body and contains natural, non-cross-linked cellulose fibers and superabsorbant materials. The horizontal expansion of the absorbent and distributing layer situated close to the body is less than that of the storage layer and in all directions does not extend beyond the edges of the storage layer. The absorbent and distributing layer consists of internally cross-linked cellulose fibers having a first retention value of between 0.6 and 0.9 gfl/Fiber and between 8 and 15% by weight superabsorbant polymer materials and the storage layer consists of non-cross-linked cellulose fibers having a second retention value of between 1.0 and 1.

  • Patent number: 6428525
Abstract: The present invention relates to a hygiene article for a single use, in particular disposable nappies or an incontinence product, with a front part, a rear part and an intermediate area for the legs, with closing tabs on the side edges of the rear part for connecting the rear part with the front part in order to seal the article which is placed on a support. The closing tabs have first mechanical closing elements, which cooperate with second mechanical closing elements, fitted to the front part, upon closing of the article. The closing tabs have each at least one adhesive zone, so that they can also be fixed to another part of the article.

  • Patent number: 4997428
Abstract: A hygienic disposable article used as a diaper and possessing an absorbent body enhanced with expandable material. The expandable material is to be applied along the direction of the longitudinal axis of the diaper, in decreasing quantity outwards from the crotch area in such a way that the concentration of the expandable material in the crotch area is 8% to 40% of the weight of said absorbent body, while in the area of the waist, it is 1% to 7% thereof. In this way an optimal distribution of the absorbent components of the diaper is achieved in accordance with the distribution pattern of the fluid excreted from the wearer.
