  • Publication number: 20230365170
Abstract: A method for determining a target geometry of a track for correcting the geometry of the track. An actual geometry of the track is detected first on a track section by a measuring system and the target geometry is calculated on the basis of the actual track geometry afterwards by way of a computing unit. Actual position points of the track are detected along the track section by a position detection system, with at least one actual position point being given to the computing unit as a point of restraint, and with the target geometry being calculated by the computing unit such that the target geometry is adapted to the actual geometry as a sequence of geometric track alignment design elements and is placed through the preset point of restraint. The method achieves a significant increase in quality compared to the known compensation method using pre-measurement.

  • Patent number: 11643121
Abstract: A system for navigating within a track network includes, as system components, a system central, a track maintenance machine and a communication device. The system central is set up for administering network data representing a model of the track network. The track maintenance machine is suited for treatment of track sections of the track network. The track maintenance machine includes a navigation device for processing navigation data derived from the network data. The communication device is provided for data exchange between the system central and the navigation device. The system includes at least one movable or stationary carrier platform with sensors for collecting raw data representing characteristic information of the track network. A big data framework is set up in the system central to evaluate the raw data and synchronize them with the network data. Automated updating of the network data can be carried out with the system.

  • Publication number: 20210395954
Abstract: A method for stabilizing a track having sleepers supported on a track ballast and rails secured to the sleepers, includes using a stabilizing unit which is connected to a machine frame that can be moved on the rails and has a vibration exciter and rollers that can roll on the rails. The vibration exciter generates in particular horizontal vibrations which run transversely to the track longitudinal direction. The course of a force exerted onto the track by the stabilizing unit is recorded over a vibration path during a vibration cycle by sensors. At least one parameter is derived from the course by an evaluation device and is used to evaluate the stabilizing procedure and/or the quality of the track ballast. A device for implementing the method is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20210347394
Abstract: The invention relates to a measuring arrangement for monitoring a railway track having rails fastened to sleepers, wherein a fibre optic cable is connected to a measuring device in order to detect a strain acting on a rail. In this, the fibre optic cable is clamped in a detachable manner into at least one rail fastening. In this way, a strain transmitted from the rail via the rail fastening to the sleeper acts directly on the fibre optic cable.

  • Publication number: 20210140122
Abstract: A method for monitoring a track line by way of a monitoring device which is connected to a sensor extending along the track line. The sensor which is set in vibration delivers measurement data for the monitoring device. A rail vehicle travels on the track line, during which vibrations having known vibration values are introduced into the track line and transmitted to the sensor. Position data of the rail vehicle are recorded and an evaluation device derives a characteristic of the vibration transmission from the vibration values, the position data, and the measurement data for the track line. In this manner, a calibration of the system takes place with only a single run on the track line.
