In other words, the electronic device of the present invention provides services/functions of Internet connection, portable power supply, and portable storage.

Abstract: A digital video record device with a touch-panel human machine interface includes a touch panel and a digital video record electronic apparatus. The touch panel is disposed in front of the screen of a monitor, electrically connected to the digital video record electronic apparatus, configured to generate touch coordinate signals, and adapted to send the touch coordinate signals to the digital video record electronic apparatus. The digital video record electronic apparatus electrically connects with at least a video camera, processes video signals generated by the video cameras, displays video signal related pictures and a plurality of icons denoting an operating instruction on the monitor, receives the touch coordinate signals from the touch panel, determines whether the touch coordinate signals correspond to a display range of the icons, and executes, upon affirmative determination, an operating instruction corresponding to the determined icon.

Abstract: An X-ray protection device adapted to be incorporated into a monitor that includes a cathode ray tube actuated by a high voltage from a transformer powered by a low voltage power supply. The X-ray protection device includes a circuit which is coupled to a low voltage output of the transformer to obtain a signal from the transformer to represent the high voltage applied by the transformer to the cathode ray tube.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for synchronously selecting icons in a flywheel controlled color computer monitor is disclosed, in which the icons representing the monitor display parameters to be adjusted and the function to be executed are arranged into a close circle which defines a circular path to be followed by the screen cursor so that the movement of the screen cursor is substantially in synchronization with the rotational motion of the flywheel control. Thus a more user friendly environment is provided in adjusting the monitor.

Abstract: An interactive monitor trouble-shooting device includes a micro-processor based control unit which detects the horizontal synchronization signal and the vertical synchronization signal from the video card of a computer. If no such signals are detected, the control unit displays a series of trouble-shooting steps to be followed by the monitor user for fixing the problem of receiving no such synchronization signals. The trouble-shooting steps may also be displayed in such a manner to test the color display function of the monitor, wherein the monitor screen is divided into at least three sections or areas, each having a background color of one of the three elementary colors. The control unit also allows the monitor to enter a power saving mode when such synchronization signals are cut off during normal operation of the monitor.

Abstract: A monitor flywheel control for use in adjustment of the color monitor display includes a flywheel type bit generator to replace the conventional adjusting pushbuttons and knobs so that by use of a micro-controller technique, a single flywheel control knob which is both rotatable and depressible can be used to perform all the desired adjustment of the computer monitor display.
