  • Patent number: 9023539
Abstract: The instant disclosure relates to a retaining member of a metal-air cell unit. The retaining member comprises a plurality of side plates constructed to define an anode compartment; and an air-distributing structure formed in the anode compartment. The air-distributing structure has a height difference from the side plates, and the height difference defines an air-distributing path.

  • Publication number: 20100147042
Abstract: In a sliding glass door system, having a stationary panel and a movable panel within a door casement, the improvement of incorporating an independent locking system centrally located in the vertical stile of the movable panel remote from the conventional door lock for this panel includes an operating lever mounted in the stile so one end thereof is accessible, a vertical oriented locking bolt connected to the lever for reciprocal movement through manipulation of the lever, and a plurality of apertures in the top track of casement for the movable panel whereby the lever can be manipulated to insert the distal end of vertical locking bolt into selected apertures to lock the panel in selected intermediate positions or to remove the distal end the vertical locking bolt from such apertures to release the panel. In the preferred embodiment the connection of the lever to locking bolt and the bolt are located inside a channel in the associated stile to maintain the aesthetics of the door.

  • Publication number: 20090178361
Abstract: Thermoplastic materials are now extruded with the final, desired cross sectional profiles and often have protective surfaces of a polyvinylchloride shell co-extruded on one or more than one of their outer surfaces. These profiles typically have hollow axial channels or cores running the length of the extrusion which applicant has found can be used to increase the rigidity of such profiles by inserting reinforcing members into such axial channels and fixedly securing the reinforcing member to the profile by mechanical fastening means and thereafter using such profiles to construct rectangular frames for windows, doors, casement and the like. The technique allows such reinforced profiles to be employed in frames where the mechanical loadings on such frames would otherwise prevent the use of such extruded profiles.

  • Publication number: 20060225364
Abstract: A door system for resisting severe inclement weather conditions designed to open into a building, includes a rectangular door frame having an aperture with a door hingedly mounted on said frame to swing to open such aperture in said frame and swing to close such aperture in said frame and a sill member at the bottom of said frame completing the frame, the sill member including an elongated rib extending vertically from said sill along its entire length with the height of said rib being sufficient to overlap a vertical face associated with the bottom of the door and a seal between a vertical face of the rib and the vertical surface associated with the bottom of the door whereby wind and wind driven rain-passage beneath the door will be restricted when said door is closed against the seal. A further improvement includes the inclusion of a channel running lengthwise of the sill member to drain rain water away from the bottom of the door mounted in the fame.

  • Publication number: 20050016091
Abstract: The invention is a tenon-snap joint structure for glass panel mounting frames designed for mounting glass on door leaf, which tenon-snap structure of the glass panel mounting frames is formed by plural number of male and female tenon-snap piece located on the reverse side of the glass panel mounting frame, and when two identical glass panel mounting frames are packed for transport, one glass panel mounting frame shall be positioned by rotating an angle of 180 degrees with respect to the other glass panel mounting frame, and then turned over to have it stacked on the other glass panel mounting frame to have the packing volume substantially reduced for transport.
