    Abstract: A communication system, communication method, transmitting apparatus, and receiving apparatus are disclosed herein. The communication system includes: a first clock correlating unit, adapted to correlate a clock to be transmitted with a clock of a data frame at a transmitter of a clock transparent-transmission network; and a second clock correlating unit, adapted to correlate a clock of a data frame at a receiver of a clock transparent-transmission network with a clock to be recovered. The method includes: correlating the clock to be transmitted with the clock of the data frame at the transmitter of the clock transparent-transmission network, and correlating the clock of the data frame at the receiver of the clock transparent-transmission network with the clock to be recovered.

    Abstract: A clock tracing method includes: determining a shortest path to each source network element, and selecting a best source network element among all the source network elements; determining a shortest path to the best source network element according to the shortest path, using the shortest path to the best source network element as a clock tracing path if the shortest path to the best source network element is different from an old clock tracing path and a traceable message is received, and using the clock tracing path for tracing clocks; and using the old clock tracing path for tracing clocks if the shortest path to the best source network element is the same as the old clock tracing path or no traceable message is received. A clock tracing apparatus and a network element are also provided. The provided clock tracing method, apparatus and network element may ensure high-quality clock transmission, and the fast performance of automatic clock tracing.

    Abstract: A method and a circuit for obtaining asynchronous demapping clock. The method includes: obtaining a smoothed clock with even gaps in accordance with data to be demapped and a corresponding clock signal; performing phase locking in accordance with a signal reflecting writing and reading conditions of data of a First In First Out (FIFO), to obtain a clock signal required for demapping. The method can effectively filter off jittering created during asynchronous mapping/demapping processes and may ensure a high-performance clock output. Furthermore, the method is applicable to not only mapping from OTN to SDH but also other asynchronous demapping processes, e.g., mapping from SDH to OTN, and thereby effectively improving the performance of data demapping.

    Abstract: A method for clock tracing in a network and a method for clocking tracing, the method for clock tracing in a network includes: distributed network element or a centralized server in the network determining a shortest path to each of clock-source network elements according to stored network topology information and clock-tracing link weight information; determining, among clock sources provided by reachable clock-source network elements, one with an optimal quality, where a clock-source network element with that clock source being considered optimal; and taking a shortest path to the optimal clock-source network element as a clock-tracing path. Furthermore, the method for clocking tracing uses such a clock-tracing path for clock tracing.
