Abstract: An endless belt-type walking presser foot is provided, which is capable of preventing slippage of cloth during superimposed seaming. A frame member has a pair of first endless belt guide grooves formed in a bottom surface thereof at locations near lateral side edges of the bottom surface and extending in a longitudinal direction of the presser foot. A pair of roller supports are provided in front and rear portions of the frame member. A plurality of rollers are each journaled to a corresponding one of the roller supports and each have a second endless-belt guide groove in the form of an annulus formed therein. A pair of endless belts each have a train of guide projections formed on an inner peripheral surface thereof and fitted in a corresponding one of the first endless belt guide grooves and a corresponding one of the second endless belt guide grooves, and a train of cloth slippage preventing projections are formed on an outer peripheral surface thereof.

Abstract: A removable ruffler for a sewing machine is removably mounted on the sewing machine by way of an exclusive removable holder of the sewing machine. A body of the ruffler for carrying out ruffling of a cloth has a ruffling member, a holder guide rail, and a presser foot guide rail, each extending in a transverse direction. A presser foot is mounted on the presser foot guide rail for sliding movement thereby pressing the cloth downward. A presser foot holder adjusts relative position of the presser foot and the body of the removable ruffler. The presser foot holder has longitudinal position adjustment portion abutting on the presser foot. The longitudinal position adjustment portion has an opening vertically formed therein and having a large longitudinal width. The presser foot holder also has a transverse position adjustment portion fitted on the holder guide rail.

Abstract: An upper cloth feeding device of a sewing machine which can have a presser foot shank attached to a presser bar such that the presser foot shank need not be detached from the presser bar for removing a removable shoe from the presser foot shank. The upper cloth feeding device has a shank holder which can hold the presser foot shank therein, an upper cloth feeding foot having friction surfaces on the underneath surface thereof, a cloth presser which slidably holds the upper cloth feeding foot with friction surfaces thereon in slits disposed therein, a cloth presser holder which pivotably holds both the cloth presser and the shank holder and a lever which is pivotably connected to side walls of the cloth presser holder and to a vertical plate of the upper cloth feeding foot by means of a connector piece.
