Publication number: 20080058200Abstract: The objective is to present compositions obtained by supporting by polymers micro clusters of transition metals and the like that are useful as catalysts in various reactions and, once used, are readily recovered and reused. A polymer-supported metal cluster composition is obtained by supporting a transition metal by a cross-linked polymer, and the polymer-supported cluster composition is characterized by the cross-linked polymer obtained by cross-linking of a cross-linkable polymer containing a hydrophilic side chain and a hydrophobic side chain group having a cross-linkable functional group. This polymer-supported metal cluster composition is, for example, preferably formed by first forming a micelle composed of the metal clusters supported by the cross-linkable polymer in a suitable solution and subsequently subjecting the cross-linkable polymer to a cross-linking reaction.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 7, 2005Publication date: March 6, 2008Inventors: Shu Kobayashi, Kuniaki Okamoto, Ryo Akiyama, Keiji Ohno, Yoshio Inagaki

Publication number: 20070161834Abstract: A method of catalytic reaction uses a micro-reactor (1) with a metal catalyst (5) or a metal complex catalyst (5) as a solid phase supported on the inner wall (4c) of a channel (4), a solution (7) dissolving a reactant as a liquid phase and hydrogen (9) as a gas phase are flown through the channel (4) in pipe flow state, and the reaction of the solution (7) and the gas (9) accelerated by the metal catalyst (5) or the metal complex catalyst (5) is conducted by three phase catalytic reaction of solid-liquid-gas phases. The metal catalyst (5) or the metal complex catalyst (5) is incorporated in a polymer, and hydrogenation reaction by three phase catalytic reductive reaction of a substance to be reduced can be conducted in short time at good yield. For hydrogenation reaction of unsaturated organics, the rate of reaction and yield are high when palladium catalyst is used, and carbonylation reaction can be conducted if carbon monoxide is used instead of hydrogen.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 26, 2005Publication date: July 12, 2007Applicant: JAPAN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY AGENCYInventors: Shu Kobayashi, Yuichiro Mori, Takehiko Kitamaori, Masaharu Ueno, Kuniaki Okamoto

Patent number: 5267162Abstract: An anti-skid control system for an automotive vehicle is provided with an actuator which is disposed in a hydraulic circuit between a pressure generator and a wheel brake cylinder. The actuator is arranged to control the hydraulic braking pressure applied to the wheel brake cylinder. In response to a wheel speed detected by a wheel speed detector, it is determined in an electronic control unit whether a condition for decreasing the braking pressure is effected. When this condition is effected, the decrease mode is provided in the control unit. When a predetermined period of time lapses after the decrease mode is initiated, the decrease mode is turned to a pressure control mode for applying the braking pressure to prevent the road wheel from being locked. When the condition is not effected during the predetermined period of time after the decrease mode is initiated, the decrease mode is turned to a direct supply mode for directly communicating the pressure generator with the wheel brake cylinder.Type: GrantFiled: September 18, 1992Date of Patent: November 30, 1993Assignees: Aisin Seiki Kabushiki Kaisha, Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Hiroyuki Ichikawa, Kazutaka Kuwana, Kuniaki Okamoto, Tsuyoshi Yoshida, Masaru Kamikado, Nobuyasu Nakanishi, Tatsuo Sugitani, Kazunori Sakai

Patent number: 5236255Abstract: The invention is directed to an arrangement for controlling a braking force applied to a road wheel, with a hydraulic braking pressure supplied to a wheel brake cylinder through an actuator. A standard speed is set on the basis of a wheel speed detected by a wheel speed sensor, and a peak of the wheel speed changing from increase thereof to decrease thereof is detected. A coefficient of friction of road surface is determined on the basis of a vehicle acceleration detected by an acceleration sensor. The actuator is controlled according to a pressure control mode selected from a decrease mode for decreasing the pressure, a hold mode for holding the pressure, a first increase mode for increasing the pressure when the wheel speed exceeds the standard speed, and a second increase mode for increasing the pressure when the wheel speed exceeds the peak of the wheel speed.Type: GrantFiled: October 16, 1991Date of Patent: August 17, 1993Assignee: Aisin Seiki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Kazutaka Kuwana, Kuniaki Okamoto, Tsuyoshi Yoshida, Hiroyuki Ichikawa, Masaru Kamikado, Satoshi Itabashi

Patent number: 5116109Abstract: The invention is directed to an anti-skid control system for controlling a braking force applied to a road wheel with a hydraulic braking pressure supplied to a wheel brake cylinder through a pressure control valve controlled by an electronic controller. On the basis of a wheel speed of the road wheel detected by a wheel speed sensor, the controller calculates an estimated vehicle speed and sets a reference speed on the basis thereof. In the controller, the wheel speed is compared with the reference speed, and in response to a result of comparison the hydraulic pressure supplied to the wheel brake cylinder is controlled by the pressure control valve. Through an adjustment by the controller, the hydraulic braking pressure is decreased in response to a change of difference between the wheel speed and the estimated vehicle speed for a certain period of time.Type: GrantFiled: December 19, 1990Date of Patent: May 26, 1992Assignee: Aisin Seiki Kaibshiki KaishaInventors: Kazutaka Kuwana, Tsuyoshi Yoshida, Hiroyuki Ichikawa, Masaru Kamikado, Kuniaki Okamoto, Satoshi Itabashi

Patent number: 5056354Abstract: The invention is directed to an arrangement for monitoring a road condition which determines the coefficient of friction of the road surface on the basis of a signal corresponding to an acceleration of a vehicle detected by an acceleration sensor. The signal is converted into one of at least two predetermined values by conversion means in response to a magnitude of the acceleration every cycle of a predetermined time period. The converted value is summed up by summing means by a predetermined number of consecutive cycles to provide a total value in the last cycle thereof which is stored in memory means. Then, in determination means, one of at least two standard values is selected in response to the condition of increase or decrease of the total value in the present cycle provided by the summing means as compared with the total value in the previous cycle stored in the memory means.Type: GrantFiled: August 6, 1990Date of Patent: October 15, 1991Assignees: Aisin Seiki K.K., Toyota Jidosha K.K.Inventors: Kazutaka Kuwana, Kuniaki Okamoto, Tsuyoshi Yoshida, Hiroyuki Ichikawa, Masaru Kamikado, Nobuyasu Nakanishi, Tatsuo Sugitani, Kazunori Sakai
