  • Publication number: 20210169013
Abstract: A grafting member including: a scion part including a first contact portion configured to contact a stem of a plant at a first position; a rootstock part detachable from the scion part, the rootstock part including a second contact portion configured to contact the stem at a second position located close to roots of the plant as compared with the first position; a first holder securable to the scion part, the first holder including a first press portion configured to press the stem of the plant against the first contact portion; and a second holder securable to the rootstock part, the second holder including a second press portion configured to press the stem of the plant against the second contact portion. A space is provided between the first holder secured to the scion part and the second holder secured to the rootstock part to expose the stem.

  • Patent number: 4874516
Abstract: This invention relates to a filter which includes a substrate of a ceramic porous material of a high strength, which serves as a support, covered with a microporous membrane of a polymer, typically a fluorocarbon polymer, partly permeating the surface layer of the substrate and acting as a filter for fine particles. The filter exhibits excellent corrosion-resistance, durableness and heat-resistance and is used for semi-ultrafiltration such as filtration for sterilization, purification of crystals and the like.

  • Patent number: 4806861
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for detecting a defect of a magnetic tape which is loaded in a dictating machine for recording and reproducing dictations. In the event of initialization, the tape is automatically transported in a fast forward mode for a predetermined period of time and, then, a counter is loaded with an initial value. Thereafter, the tape is rewound while, at the same time, the counter counts reel rotation detection pulses. The tape is decided to be defective when the count of the counter at beginning of tape does not lie in a predetermined range, and free from defects when the count lies in the predetermined range. In an operation mode after the initialization, presence/absence of the pulses is detected.
