  • Patent number: 4855994
Abstract: The bidirectional transmission for reading and writing data is performed between a write/read unit and a memory module using the contactless induction coupling of induction coils. The write/read unit frequency multiplexes a power source signal, a sync clock, and an enable clock and transmits the frequency multiplexed signals to the memory module. The memory module rectifies the received frequency multiplexed signals to produce an operating power source and to reproduce the sync clock and enable clock and to form an enable signal from the OR of both clocks. The write and read access information transmitted through another route is read in response to the reproduced sync clock and enable signal, thereby executing the writing and reading operations of a non-volatile memory.

  • Patent number: 4855729
Abstract: A plurality of terminal units are connected to the central unit by one optical fiber line in a loop form, thereby forming a communication link. The central unit converts the data including the terminal address and control bit into the serial optical signal and outputs this optical signal. The terminal unit receives and interpretes the optical signal from the central unit and ON/OFF controls the solenoid valve. After completion of the control, the terminal unit rewrites the control bit in the reception data to the data bit indicative of the operating state of the valve and transmits the data bit to the next terminal unit. The central unit receives the signal from the final terminal unit and interprets the bit data which was rewritten from the control bit by the terminal unit, thereby displaying the operating state of the valve.

  • Patent number: 4809426
Abstract: A memory is built in a tool holder to which a working tool such as drill or the like is attached. Various tool information such as kind of tool, dimensions of tool, tool use time, and the like is written into the memory. The tool holder having the memory therein is coupled with an external unit by contactless coupling means which doesn't need any electrical coupling, thereby allowing the tool information to be written into or read out of the memory. The information is transmitted between the memory in the tool holder and the external unit by way of the optical or magnetical coupling. The memory built in the tool holder consists of a non-volatile memory such that the memory content is not erased even if the power supply is shut off.

  • Patent number: 4724372
Abstract: The driving speed of a hydraulic actuator is feedback controlled by adjusting an amount of fluid by a digital valve having a valve which is opened and closed by a pulse motor. For speed control, the deviation between a set speed of the actuator which is set by a speed setting device and a detection speed of the actuator which is detected by a speed sensor is obtained. A pulse signal of a frequency proportional to the magnitude of the deviation is generated. When the deviation is positive, the pulse motor is driven using the pulse signal as a CW command pulse. When the deviation is negative, the pulse motor is driven using the pulse signal as a CCW command pulse. The rotational amount of the pulse motor is the integral of the pulse frequency which is proportional to the deviation.

  • Patent number: 4703244
Abstract: A frequency divided pulse is produced by frequency dividing a clock signal by speed instruction data. When the current position of the pulse motor has not yet reached a set desired position, a frequency divided pulse is outputted as a forward rotation control pulse. When the current position has exceeded said set position, a frequency divided pulse is outputted as a reverse rotation control pulse. If the set desired position is changed while the pulse motor is rotating, this change of setting is detected and the output of the frequency divided pulse is inhibited for a predetermined settling period of time, thereby stopping the pulse motor. After the vibration of the rotor which occurs during the stepping of the pulse motor is settled, the reverse rotation of the pulse motor can be started, thereby preventing the occurrence of the step-out phenomenon of the pulse motor upon reverse rotation.

  • Patent number: 4468808
Abstract: Disclosed is an extraction method for optical character recognition systems in which the necessary character features for recognition process are extracted from a character information detected and digitized by an optical scanner. In accordance with this method, the local features of every adjacent two rows or columns of a digitized character pattern on a two-dimensional plane are extracted row by row or column by column and are successively integrated so as to extract in a global manner the respective feature types such as concavity and convexity, loop and connectivity of the character pattern. At the same time, the global feature regions or segments are separated and each of the separated feature segments is coded without any loss of the information. The feature quantity of each segment is obtained on the basis of the coded representation. Any local concavity or convexity noises are eliminated simultaneously with the extraction of the global features.
