  • Patent number: 6293482
Abstract: A strand cutting apparatus includes a fixed blade 2 having a blade edge extending perpendicularly with respect to the traveling direction of a strand, and a rotation blade 3 which is fixed to the tip portion of a rotation shaft 13 extending perpendicularly to the blade edge of the fixed blade 2 and has a plurality of plate-shaped blades 15 disposed radially at a front surface 3a. The rotation shaft 13 is supported by a supporting member 14 through a bearing mechanism 30 so as to be freely rotatable. The supporting member 14 is opposed to the one side of the fixed blade 2 with a clearance therebetween. The supporting member 14 is guided by a pair of guide plates 39 so as to be movable freely and linearly along the same direction as the axial direction of the rotation shaft 13.

  • Patent number: 6099159
Abstract: The invention is for mixing at least one kind of an additive with a powdery or granular main material homogeneously so as to continuously supply the same quantitatively. A barrel comprises a front side cylindrical part, a trough part, and a rear side cylindrical part from the upstream side. A quantitative extruding zone comprises the front side cylindrical part and a quantitative extruding part having a full flight provided on the peripheral surface of the axis part of a screw, for quantitatively transporting a main material to the downstream side. A mixing zone comprises the trough part and a mixing part having an agitating blade formed zigzag on the axis part of the screw and a ribbon screw having a distance with respect to the peripheral surface of the axis part, for homogeneously dispersing additives added from additive supply openings in the main material.

  • Patent number: 4187067
Abstract: A die formed of a series of concentric rings is disclosed. An outer body has a series of communication ports for the introduction of a heating medium. An inner body having the same axial thickness as the outer body is placed inside the outer and in the annular space defined between the inner and outer bodies a series of annular rings are placed. The annular rings each have a series of nozzles disposed in a circumferential ring and are formed with grooves on their outer walls to define jackets between the rings. The jackets are in communication with the communication ports to supply a heating medium to the jacket.
