  • Patent number: 8103942
Abstract: A data transmission apparatus includes a packet generation section, a frame encoding section, a transmission section, a reception section, a frame decoding section and a packet extraction section. The packet generation section generates a packet upon request. The frame encoding section generates a frame having a predetermined length by dividing the packet or adding dummy data to the packet and generates an error-correcting-code-added frame by adding an error correcting code to the frame. The transmission section transmits the generated error-correcting-code-added frame through a transmission line. The reception section receives the error-correcting-code-added frame. The frame decoding section performs an error detection and an error correction for the error-correcting-code-added frame. The packet extraction section extracts the packet by removing the error correcting code from the error-correcting-code-added frame for which the error detection and the error correction have been performed.

  • Publication number: 20080288674
Abstract: A storage system includes: a plurality of data input and output parts through; a data storing part that stores the data inputted and outputted through the plurality of data input and output parts; a range information storing part that stores range information; first control part controlling the data storing part to read and write the data in accordance with the stored range information, and that rewrites the stored range information to predetermined range information in a case where a prescribed signal is inputted from the data input and output part; and a plurality of second control parts that are provided correspondingly to the plurality of data input and output parts to input and output the data, and that input the prescribed signal to the data input and output parts in a prescribed case.

  • Patent number: 5995935
Abstract: When a voice button is pressed after selection of a desired sentence example, a CPU causes a musical note mark to be displayed on a display. If the selected sentence example is one for the opposite sex, the CPU reads out speech data (in a voice of a person of the opposite sex) corresponding to the selected sentence example from a ROM, and causes the readout speech data to be outputted in voice form from a speaker. The selected sentence example is displayed in parenthesis, to show the user that the displayed sentence is for the opposite sex. If the selected sentence example is not one for the opposite sex, the CPU reads out speech data (in a voice of a person of the same sex) corresponding to the selected sentence example from the ROM, and causes the readout speech data to be outputted in voice form from the speaker. Alternatively, speech data corresponding to sentence examples for the opposite sex are not stored in the ROM, and therefore are not outputted in voice form.

  • Patent number: 5991711
Abstract: A language information processing apparatus for translating a model phrase in a first language into a corresponding second language and outputting the translated phrase. The apparatus includes a display that displays the phrase, an input device for inputting a character or a word to be added in the first language to the phrase displayed by the display, a first voice information storage device that stores voice information in the second language corresponding to the phrase, and a second voice information storage device that prepares and stores voice information concerning the character or word in the first language with an intonation in the first language, which character or word is input by the input device.
