Abstract: An image display unit capable of displaying image data page-wise includes: a scanner portion; a display panel for displaying input image data in preview representation; an input condition determiner that compares the image data successively input through the scanner portion, as to input condition and determines whether there is any change in the image data input condition; and a display controller that, when the input condition determiner determines that the input image data has changed in the input condition, makes control such as to display the image data that was determined to have changed in the input condition and the image data input immediately before the image data in question, together on the display panel.

Abstract: Image data in a specific data format is stored in an external storage device, whereas application software for display, editing, and printing of the image data in the specific data format is not stored in the external storage device but transmitted to an e-mail address of a user or to an IP address of a user's computer. This provides a digital multifunction printer which is capable of storing image data in a removable external storage device and which can store image data in the external storage device in such a manner that the image data is stored with a data format specific to the digital multifunction printer while the image data can be processed by other device without dropping security for the stored image data.

Abstract: Image data is saved directly in an external memory without using an incorporated HDD for filing the image data and without degrading the image data, so that costs are reduced as not requiring the incorporated HDD and the image data without degradation is able to be used again easily. A USB memory saves image data acquired by an image processing apparatus and setting data of the image data, and further saves a tool software allowing the image data to be viewed, edited, and printed by a PC. The image data saved in a saving memory of the USB memory can be, for example, printed or transmitted as it is by the image processing apparatus. Further, the tool software allows a user to, for example, view and edit the image data using the PC. Further, it is possible to cause a specific printer to print the image data by the PC.

Abstract: In a multifunction apparatus (image processing apparatus) 1 having an image reader 2 that reads an image of a document and an image processor 13 that performs a processing on the original image read by the image reader 2, an additional image related to a processing condition of the original image being added to the original image read by the image reader 2, the image processor 13 extracts the additional image from an image read by the image reader 2 and performs the processing in accordance with the processing condition based on the extracted image. An image processing system has the image processing apparatus and an image recording apparatus that records an image onto a sheet adds, to the image recorded onto sheet, the additional image related to the processing condition of the image.

Abstract: When image data is obtained through a network from a document reading portion or a PC etc., a main control portion displays, through a display control portion, a document icon in a document icon area on a display portion. A user drags and drops the document icon on an output image operation area with a touch pen or the like, and the main control portion displays the specified document icon on the area. Moreover, when specification of a paper area, a position of a punch hole, a position of stapling, and the like is performed with the touch pen or the like, the main control portion determines whether or not setting is possible and outputs specified data to an image formation control portion and a post-process control portion.

Abstract: A setting data selecting portion selects setting data for each function according to user input to an operation input portion, the setting data being used to set various preset values related to functions of the image processing apparatus. An image forming portion forms setting data selected by the setting data selecting portion into an image on a recording medium to make a clone sheet. A data setting portion sets setting data, which is read from a clone sheet by an image reading portion, on the image processing apparatus into which the data setting portion is incorporated, the set data being the setting data related to corresponding functions. This setting data may include setting data selected out of prepared selection items, setting data set by user input, type information of the image processing apparatus, and log information of the image processing apparatus.
