  • Patent number: 5944960
Abstract: The carbonizing furnace of the present invention is capable of effectively making a large amount of carbides and reducing manufacturing cost and maintenance cost. The carbonizing furnace includes a furnace proper being formed into a cylindrical shape, the furnace proper having a first end section, to which a combustible raw material is supplied, and a second end section, from which a carbide is discharged; a spiral member for conveying the raw material from the first end section to the second end thereof; and a burner for burning the raw material to make the carbide, the burner burns the raw material in the second end section whereby the raw material is carbonized therein, wherein a surface of the raw material is coated with an inorganic binder.

  • Patent number: 4210036
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a tire-chain handling tool which permits an individual to readily secure or detach a tire chain to a tire. The handling tool includes an elongated rod, a handle positioned on one end thereof and a hook including a pushing and pulling portion positioned at the other end thereof. The rod is bent to facilitate the securement and removal of the tire chain from the tire. In a second embodiment of the present invention, the elongated rod may be constructed in two portions which are hinged together. The hinging of the two portions together permits the rod to be readily folded for storing or carrying.

  • Patent number: 4196768
Abstract: A casting mold manufacturing process and apparatus, which sand of the mold contains water-soluble paste of binder. The sand is previously heated in a sand storage tank by micro-wave heating or high frequency. The sand temperature and humidity, and volume of the binder contained in the sand are freely controlled. The preheated sand is blown by a preheated air to supply it to a molding flask placed under the storage tank. The preheated air is controlled in its humidity and warmness.

  • Patent number: 3968829
Abstract: A molding method comprising steps of bringing a shielding mold member into contact with the shaping surface of a shaping mold member to provide a mold assembly, filling a charge of a heat resisting particulate material in space disposed opposite the shaping mold member with respect to the shielding mold member, rendering negative the internal pressure of the space containing the charge so as to draw the shielding mold member toward the charge and cause the same to adhere thereto, removing the shaping mold member from the mold assembly so as to form a cavity defined by the shielding mold member, and pouring a molten metal into said cavity.
