  • Publication number: 20100094101
Abstract: Adequate use item information and subject's condition criterion information are determined in advance. Actual use item information and actual subject's condition information are inputted. The actual use item information includes information of at least one used medical device and information of at least one used medicine. The actual subject's condition information indicates biological conditions of the subject after conduction of the inspection. The actual use item information is compared with the adequate use item information and the actual subject's condition information is compared with the subject's condition criterion information so that pieces of information with difference therebetween are extracted as difference information. Whether the conducted specific medical inspection was carried out adequately or not is determined based on the difference information.

  • Publication number: 20090240108
Abstract: A capsule endoscope captures an image from an imaging field as it travels through a tract of a patient and, at the same time, measures subject distances to multiple points in the imaging field. The capsule endoscope sends the captured image and information on the multi-point distances wirelessly to a data transceiver that the patient carries about. With reference to the multi-point distance information, a check zone of a limited distance range is determined in the imaging field, and the check zone is divided into small blocks. Image characteristic values are extracted from image data of each individual small block, and compared with the image characteristic values of other small blocks, to examine similarity between the small blocks. Those small blocks which are less similar to other small blocks are considered to constitute an area of concern, such as a lesion.

  • Publication number: 20090227837
Abstract: A capsule endoscope is swallowed by a patient, to capture images from inner wall surfaces of patient's digestive tract, while detecting imaging positions of the capsule endoscope. A doctor observes the images captured by the capsule endoscope, to select an aimed point image that contains a portion suspected of a lesion, and some images that represent pass points on an insertion route of a balloon endoscope. While a probing tip of the balloon endoscope is being inserted into the patient for the sake of thorough examination of the suspected portion, a degree of similarity between an image captured by the balloon endoscope and an image of a destination point, which is one of the pass points and the aimed point, is detected to judge by the similarity whether the probing tip has reached the destination point or not. So the doctor can get the probing tip to the aimed point easily.

  • Publication number: 20090203964
Abstract: A capsule endoscope system includes a capsule endoscope, swallowable in a body, for forming an image. A receiver is positioned on the body, for wirelessly receiving the image from the capsule endoscope, to store the image. A workstation as information manager operates for image filing of the image from the receiver. A first wireless interface is incorporated in the receiver, for wirelessly transmitting the image during imaging with the capsule endoscope. A second wireless interface is positioned on the workstation, for wirelessly receiving the image from the first wireless interface. Furthermore, an image selector selects the image for image filing in the workstation among plural images received by the receiver. The first wireless interface transmits the selected image to the workstation. The receiver includes an image compressor for reducing a data size of the image received from the capsule endoscope before transmission in the first wireless interface.

  • Publication number: 20090103836
Abstract: A system for endoscope data management of an endoscopic image of a body acquired by an endoscope is provided. An image filing apparatus retrieves the image from the endoscope, and records data of the image and scope ID assigned to the endoscope in association with one another. A washer washes the endoscope. A memory is incorporated in the washer, for storing log information of washing of the endoscope. A data manager retrieves the log information on line with the washer, to record the scope ID and the log information in association with one another. A server device records the data of the image, the scope ID and the log information on line with the image filing apparatus and the data manager. Furthermore, the data manager includes an editor for editing the log information of the washer.

  • Publication number: 20020128873
Abstract: An image reading system includes clients which output image data as a visible image. Individual diagnoses obtained on the visible images are input through the client. A management client outputs result of examination obtained from the individual diagnoses. A server is provided with an image memory and a result memory connected to the clients and the management client by way of a network. The image memory stores image data and the result memory stores results of examination obtained on the individual diagnoses. Each client receives the image data from the server by way of a network, outputs the image data and sends individual diagnoses input for the image data to the server by way of the network. The result memory stores results of examination obtained on the individual diagnoses sent from the respective clients, and the management client outputs the result of examination received from the server.

  • Patent number: 5651362
Abstract: A radiation image information processing system subjects a radiation image to certain signal processing so as to obtain image signal and generates a visible image from the image signal. A support apparatus for the system is composed principally of a control unit, a radiation signal storage unit, a display and a keyboard. When a fault occurs in the radiation image information processing system, a support apparatus is connected to a control apparatus of the system. The fault of the system is detected by the support system, which generates a fault detection signal. An image signal which leads to occurrence of the fault or the like is stored in a memory and thereafter, the analysis of the fault is carried out based on the contents stored. In view of the analyzed contents, the fault is removed and hence the system is recovered.

  • Patent number: 5077768
Abstract: A radiation image information processing system processes a radiation-transmission image, such as an X-ray image of a human body, into an image signal, and records or displays the image signal as a visible image. When a fault occurs in the radiation image information processing system during operation thereof, a support device is connected to a control device of the system. The fault is detected by the support device, which generates a fault detection signal. An address in the image data processing program which is executed by the CPU of the control device is stored in the support device in response to the fault detection signal. The support device can also be used when a function of the system is to be altered or a new function is to be added to the system.

  • Patent number: 5004917
Abstract: A radiation image information reading apparatus photoelectrically reads radiation image information from a recording medium such as a stimulable phosphor sheet. Reading conditions and/or image processing conditions are established on the basis of the radiation image information which has been read from the recording medium. Whether the reading conditions and/or the image processing conditions fall outside of a predetermined range or not, is determined. If the reading conditions and/or the image processing conditions fall outside of the predetermined range, the radiation image information and data used to establish the reading conditions and/or the image processing conditions is held in storage.
