  • Patent number: 5491381
Abstract: A discharge tube which assures stabilized discharging, is reduced in overall size and easy to manufacture is disclosed. The discharge tube comprises a cylindrical envelope made of an insulating substance, discharge gas enclosed in the envelope, and a pair of discharge electrodes disposed in an opposing relationship to each other at the opposite ends of the envelope. The the discharge electrodes are formed as parallel plate electrodes wherein faces thereof facing the inside of the envelope extend flat and in parallel to each other. A pair of conductive layers formed on the envelope in an opposing relationship to and electrically connected to the discharge electrodes, and one of the conductive layers is opposed at least part thereof with the other conductive layer with a portion of the envelope interposed therebetween.

  • Patent number: 5337035
Abstract: The discharge tube of this invention does not employ special shapes of electrodes that are difficult to manufacture, but can still provide a uniform electric field. The electrodes are disposed in the inwardly drawn portions of the cylindrical body in such a way that the opposing front end surfaces of the electrodes are recessed from the inner surfaces of the inwardly drawn portions in a direction that they move away from each other. The discharge electrodes therefore do not project into the inner space of the cylindrical body but are enclosed by the inwardly drawn portions so that they are protected against influences of external electric fields from outside the discharge tube, thus assuring stable and reliable discharges.

  • Patent number: 5213524
Abstract: A shield connector comprises a connector housing. A plurality of terminal pins having a bent section is supported by the connector housing. A cover is arranged to cover substantially the entirety of the terminal pins so as to shield a noise signal from the outside. The cover has a capacitor accommodating section. A capacitor is arranged within the capacitor accommodating section so as to support one ends of the respective terminal pins. An insulating section is so arranged as to cover an exterior of the capacitor. In a preferred embodiment, the cover has an upper cover element and a lower cover element. The insulating section is made of a resinous material.

  • Patent number: 5167539
Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide a noise suppressing connector adopting a noise filtering structure which is capable of reducing the manufacturing processes, eliminating the conventional problems (i.e., the occurrence of incomplete connections by soldering the destruction of the aluminum plate, and so on), and thereby improving the quality of the noise filtering structure itself. In order to attain the above object, the noise suppressing connector according to the present invention incorporates a metal casing having one or more terminal insertion holes in the bottom wall thereof and formed with a capacitor section around each of these insertion holes; a pin terminal inserted through the terminal insertion hole and electrically connected to the capacitor section using soldering; and an insulating housing incorporated into to the metal casing, wherein the capacitor section is directly connected to the metal casing.

  • Patent number: 5145413
Abstract: The invention improves assembly efficiency by allowing an increased amount of assembly work to be automated. The noise suppressing connector incorporates a capacitor array having a plurality of individual electrodes arranged on the surface of a dielectric material and an earth electrode at the back; a plurality of lead terminals each having input/output portions and an intermediate portion, the intermediate portions being placed in contact with individual electrodes, said intermediate portions and the capacitor array being molded together within an insulating resin; and a metal housing connected with the earth electrode and adapted to accommodate and hold the molded resin block. An earth plate may be interposed between the earth electrode and the metal housing. Solder loading grooves may be provided to the metal housing at positions facing the earth electrode or earth plate to connect the earth electrode or earth plate with the metal housing by solder.
